Geloof Deel 2 - Faith Part 2

Angus Buchan

Romeine 10:17 Wat beperk God se werk in jou lewe en my lewe? Ongeloof. Abram was ‘n gewone man nes ek en jy. Romans 10:17 What restricts God from working in your and my life? Unbelief. You need faith, and faith comes from hearing and hearing by the Word of God. If you want faith, you need to get into the Word of God. Abraham was an ordinary man like you and me but he chose to believe God. When God told him to sacrifice Isaac, he did not hesitate. That is why God loved Abraham. Abraham is the only man in the Bible whom God refers to as His ‘friend’.

Geloof Deel 1 - Faith Part 1

Hebreërs 11:1 Sinopsis: Hoe kry ‘n mens geloof? Baie maklik. Hebrews 11:1 How can one’s faith be increased? Easily. Simply read your Bible more often. St. Augustine said, “Faith is to believe what you cannot see but the reward of that faith, that act of faith, is to see what you believe.”

‘n Goeie Voorbeeld - A Good Example

Angus Buchan

John 14: 27 Talk is cheap - it's actions that count. We can tell people Jesus is the Way, Jesus is Life – and He is – but if we are short-tempered, arrogant or fearful, why should they want to follow Jesus? What the world is saying to you and to me today, is: “Don’t tell us about Jesus. Show us Jesus."

Beter of slegter - Better or worse

Angus Buchan

God says If we are not for Him, we are against Him. We need to make Godly choices and live life to the full. Revelation 3:16 "So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth."

Luiheid - Laziness

Angus Buchan

2 Thessalonians 3:6-10 I don’t think there is anything more selfish than a lazy person. We need to do the work that God has called us to do. If he will not change his ways, have nothing more to do with him, the Bible says. Those are stern words. It’s like feeding people hamburgers when they are in the pig sty. As long as you feed them, they will stay in the pig sty. Parents also shouldn’t continue to give children money if they are too lazy to work. You are not doing them a favour. Love them and pray for them.

Gebore in ‘n Dag - Born In A Day

Angus Buchan

Jesaja 66:8 God gebruik nie groot skare mense of reuse organisasies nie. Hy gebruik individue. Isaiah 66:8 God does not use big crowds of people or huge organisations, He uses individuals. God is searching for a man or woman who would put up his or her hand and say: “Lord, I will go wherever You send me and I will do whatever You want me to do”. And soon we will witness the birth of a nation – in one day. That is what South Africa needs, revival.

Spanwerk - Team Work

Angus Buchan

Markus 8:36 As jy jou familie verloor, verloor jy alles. Mark 8:36 If you lose your family, you lose everything. Angus says: “What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his wife or his children?” Strong families are the cornerstone of a happy nation and a happy country. Angus prays that families will start doing things together as a team, take each other into account and support each other in every way.

Geloof en Gehoorsaamheid - Faith and Obedience

Angus Buchan

John 2:5 Angus reads about the wedding in Cana where Jesus turned water into wine. The mother of Jesus, Mary, told the servants: “Whatever He tells you, whatever He says to you. Do it.” Whatever Jesus says to you, do it. Don’t argue. That’s where faith and obedience come in. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and you’ll be amazed at how your life is going to change.

Werkgewer en Werknemwer - Employer And Employee

Angus Buchan

Live your life as to the Lord. Do everything you do as if Father God is your employer. Ephesians 6:5-9 "Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free. And you, masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him." Die Beste Begin - The Best Beginning

Angus Buchan

John 14:27 The Best Beginning is to start your day in the presence of God. If you fail to make time for Jesus, your whole day will be upside down and you’ll easily give in to stress. Angus uses a method of meditation based on the word ACTS. A-Adoration, C is for confession, T-Thanksgiving, and S-Supplication which means to pray for someone or something. We should http://i.e.pray for our neighbors, our loved ones and our government.

U Wil - Thy Will

Angus Buchan

John 17:4 Angus refers to the words of Jesus in Gethsemane when He said to His Father: “I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do“. That was before the crucifixion. He has made the decision not to follow His own will, but the will of his Father. The most difficult period is the period of decision making. Once the decision has been taken, it is finished. The battle has been won.

Alle Dinge - All things

Angus Buchan

Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Angus shares one of his favourite bible passages. You might not appreciate hearing this today, but when you look back you will see that God had his hand on your life. In this episode, Angus speaks about dealing with the hard surprises that sometimes happen in life.

Ons Jare Saam - The Living Years

Angus Buchan

Angus reminds us that our time here on earth is fleeting. We need to heed the word of God and forgive each other. Let us ask God to give us the courage to reconcile! Matthew 5:23-30 "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First, be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary delivers you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny."

Die lamp van Beskerming - The Protection Lamp

Angus Buchan

Filmed on his farm in Greytown, Kwazulu-Natal, Uncle Angus uses and old mining lamp as an illustration of the guidance and protection offered to us by the Holy Spirit.

Genadiglik Skenk - Freely Give

Angus Buchan

Geniet hierdie episode. The Lord says that it is more blessed to give than to receive. Uncle Angus reminds us about the growth and multiplication using illustrations from his farming. He shares from John 12:24. There is always something that we can give. It doesn’t have to be money. It can be our time or our words or encouragement or compassion. Enjoy this episode.
