"Accept & Respect Your Position"
August 11, 2024 • Sr. Pastor Travis M. Tullis • Colossians 3:3, Philippians 1:6, Ecclesiastes 3:11, Romans 12:1–2, Colossians 1:27
“Accept and Respect Your Position” in Christ Jesus. We must accept and respect that Jesus died for our sins and that He lives in us.
Through scriptures, Colossians 1:27, 3:3, Philippians 1:6, Ecclesiastes 3:11, and Romans 12:1-2, Senior Pastor Travis Tullis reminds us that we belong to Jesus and are to present ourselves as a living sacrifice.
Romans 12:1-2 says, ‘I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.’
The minute we conform to this world, we are disrespecting our position in Jesus Christ. When we are at work or in other environments, such as family gatherings as well as other social settings, we must remember we are on assignment for the Lord and are responsible for representing Jesus in all that we do.
We are made to worship God in spirit and truth. He is worthy of our time, energy, efforts, money, passions, and attention. This connection and commitment to worshiping God in all that we do and with all that we have, is what sets us apart from the rest of the world. When the world tries to influence us to put down our true worship of God, by offering us things that feel good to the flesh, we must remember that sin is deceitful, but God’s word is true and will set us free.
Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for leading us forward and higher together, guiding us toward a deeper understanding of how to fear God and keep His commandments by accepting and respecting our position as good children of God.
