Jesus spoke of himself as a builder, the foundation on which the church would be built. This means that the church is not just a building but a living, breathing entity.
Elder Charlie Davidson, in his message, through Matthew 16:15-18 and 1 Peter 2:4-9, reminds us that Jesus is not just a part of our spiritual house but the cornerstone on which it stands.
God is actively building a spiritual house, and it is not a passive act but a call to action. Christians can witness God's power and presence in today's reality. But we must be receptive, rededicated, and actively pursuing our cornerstone, Jesus Christ; this will bring us discipleship, empowering us, and making us responsible for participating in His Kingdom.
As it is written in 1 Peter 2:5, the scripture says, "Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ."
Each stone God gathers is carefully placed where it's supposed to go in His Kingdom. Our cornerstone can be used to educate children with a Christian foundation centered on Jesus Christ, this includes the younger generation to be a part of the Kingdom building.
Thank you, Elder Davidson, for delivering this strong message from God. This will lead us forward and higher together as we continue to remember that Jesus is the cornerstone of our salvation.
