"The Sovereignty of God"

Proverbs 16:9 says, "A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps."

Through scriptures, Exodus 5:21-23, 6:1-3 and Proverbs 16:1-9, Pastor Derrek Kegler reminds us that God is in control and has rule over everything in our lives.

It is a central truth that everyone must be held accountable for their actions. In the Book of Exodus, during Moses's time on Earth, just as God promised to handle Pharaoh for His people, we too must be mindful of our deeds and not find ourselves in Pharaoh’s place. Exodus 6:1 says, "Then the Lord said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land."

God is aware of everything in our lives; He never turns a blind eye to our sorrows. When we are afflicted, the Lord will direct our hearts and steps in the direction He has already appointed for us to follow, allowing us to be blessed and to bless others. This means we must keep our integrity by staying steady and confessing our sins while we wait on the Lord during these difficult times.

Thank you, Pastor Kegler, for giving us this powerful message from God. It will help us move forward and higher together by letting us know that God takes care of our enemies during times of trouble.

"No Fear, No Wisdom"

Proverbs 9:10 says, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." Assistant Pastor Darcey Stewart Jr. reminds us through scriptures, Proverbs 8:13, 9:10,11:2,16:5-6,16:18-19, Numbers 12:1-13 and Ecclesiastes 12:13 that we cannot be okay with skipping the beginning of our walk with God by lacking wisdom. God’s wisdom keeps us out of the line of fire. As a result, we can set aside our pride and triumph over the traps set by the enemy and follow God. Proverbs 5:3 says, "Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished." God is aware of what we need; therefore, we can continue to trust Him. By trusting in His will rather than our own, and obeying His commandments, we can be assured that God is still with us no matter the situation. Thank you, AP Stewart, for giving us this powerful message from God. It will help us move forward and higher together by letting us know that pride is the birth of sin, but the fear of God is true wisdom.

"Called Cleansed & Commissioned"

November 3, 2024 • Pastor Elvis Jackson • Isaiah 6:1–9

Isaiah 6:9 says, "And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged." Through scriptures, Isaiah 6:1-9, Pastor Elvis Jackson tells us that Jesus gives us the power and authority to go and tell the good news in His name. Sometimes, God will go through extraordinary measures to get our attention. During this time, God gives us the necessary knowledge to give to the people of the world. For example, Isaiah's vision and experience in scriptures 6:1-9 became clearer when he got closer to God, and this allowed Isaiah to preach to his people that the Lord's judgment was coming. By this calling, cleansing, and commission, Isaiah saw God's glory, holiness, and power. When we have an exalted experience, we realize how God puts everything in place to draw us unto Him. Thank you, Pastor Jackson, for giving us this powerful message from God. This will help us go forward and higher together by letting us know that we can be called, cleansed, and commissioned to do God's will.

“The Appointed Time”

October 27, 2024 • Sr. Pastor Travis M. Tullis • Luke 4:16–30

Luke 4:18 says, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised." Through scriptures, Luke 4:16-30, Senior Pastor Travis Tullis tells us to be ready for the appointed time when God will arrange for Jesus to set free the captives. Jesus Christ was sent to proclaim the good news of the gospel. God set an acceptable time for us to be delivered. Unfortunately, many people might miss this appointed time in their lives because they are not paying attention to the preaching of God’s Word. When God sends His anointed preachers to deliver the good news at the appointed time, we must hearken to His Word. Jesus is coming back for the Church, and as the body of Christ, we must be in unity with all that is of God. We must forgive, love, and be merciful, giving grace and encouragement to others, just as God has given to us. Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for leading us forward and higher together by letting us know that we must continue to submit to God by loving one another and coming together in unity so we can be ready for our appointed time as the body of Christ.
