"Freedom In The Kingdom"

Our history celebrates freedom on July 4th and Juneteenth, which are the most recent celebrations of liberty for our country. But when we celebrate “Freedom in Jesus’s Kingdom,” there is liberty for all God’s people.

Senior Pastor Travis Tullis guides us on understanding and embracing freedom in God’s Kingdom through the scriptures Nehemiah 4:14, Ephesians 6:12, Galatians 5:13-26, and John 1:12.

As believers, we have been liberated from the unholy things that separates us from God through the blood of Jesus Christ. Yet, we find ourselves in the midst of a culture war because God’s Word is no longer being taught so we are not being reminded that God has given us a way to be set free. As Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

In the freedom of the Kingdom of God, we must fight for our right to enjoy walking in power, peace, hope, love, and the sense of safety that comes with knowing that we are aligned with the Lord. This freedom, however, comes with a sacred responsibility. As Christians, one of our greatest assignments is to love one another, to support and uplift each other in Christ Jesus.

Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for leading us forward and higher together, guiding us towards a deeper understanding of the freedom that comes with serving God in His Kingdom.

"Step To It"

July 21, 2024 • Sr. Pastor Travis M. Tullis • 1 Samuel 16:7, 1 Samuel 17:23–37, 1 Samuel 17:47, John 2:23–24, 2 Corinthians 4:18

Each of us are confronted with formidable challenges, which can seem like giants, in our lives. These may manifest as health-related, financial, or family issues. However, as believers in Jesus Christ, we are empowered to confront these giants with unwavering faith, walking under the protective and secure umbrella of God's covenant. This covenant is not just a promise but a guarantee of God's protection over us, ensuring we are never alone in our battles. Senior Pastor Travis Tullis leads us to understand that we must change how we see our giants by having faith to "Step to It" through the scriptures 1 Samuel 16:7, 17:23-37, 17:47, and John 2:23-24. With God by our side, we can conquer these giants and emerge victorious in Christ Jesus. This victory is not just a possibility, but a certainty when we walk in faith. However, we sometimes stray from the path of God's covenant when we rely on our own understanding, swayed by the visible challenges before us. As 2 Corinthians 4:18 reminds us, 'While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.' Under God's covenant, we are shielded by His protection; this is one of the many benefits of being covered by the Lord. We can accept God's assignments and appointments if we take a step towards faith when dealing with our giants; the heavens will open to us with God's glory. Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for leading us forward and higher together, guiding us towards a deeper understanding of knowing how to step towards our giants with Jesus by our side.

"Surviving the Test of Time"

July 14, 2024 • Elder Kevin Barker • Matthew 7:24–29

When we stay on course to "Survive the Test of Time,” we can become joint heirs with Christ Jesus. Elder Kevin Barker Sr. encourages us to not give up through our trials and tribulations; we will not be defeated if we stay the course because of our solid rock foundation in Jesus Christ. This foundation is embodied in the scriptures Matthew 7:24-29, which teaches us the importance of building our lives on the teachings of Jesus. Even in our darkest moments, God's grace fills our lives with more purpose, encouraging us to persevere. As we navigate the test of time, our praise and worship, with its transformative and spiritual power, can turn our midnights into daylight. With God's unwavering mercy, we can weather any storm if we stand firm and unmovable. As we position ourselves to keep pouring God's word into our hearts and into our communities, we must utilize the overflow of blessings He provides and press on to survive our test of time. Reflecting on Priest Lake Community Baptist Church's 43rd anniversary, we see how, with Jesus Christ as our foundation, “we can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth us.” Thank you, Elder Barker, for delivering this strong message from God. This reminds us that we are more than conquerors, when we endure the test of time.

"What Are You Building On The Foundation"

June 30, 2024 • Pastor Derrek Kegler • Luke 6:44–49, 1 Corinthians 3:10–17

Do we carefully consider what we are building on the foundation made by Christ? In a world filled with information, it's crucial to discern if it's aligned with the word of God, the foundation of Jesus Christ, or if it is like Spam, useless in the Kingdom of God. This discernment is key in our efforts to advance the Kingdom. Pastor Derrek Kegler, in his message, through 1 Corinthians 3:10-17 and Luke 6:44-49, reminds us that our spiritual house, with Jesus as our solid rock, is indestructible. When we continue to build on the foundation that Jesus laid out for us, it will cost us time. This is precious to us because we don't get time back. The time we sacrifice to advance the Kingdom of God on earth is like gold, silver, and precious stones. With this, we can have a spiritual house where people can come and receive the things of God that they need. We must exercise discernment in how we invest in our foundation with Jesus Christ, so we do not invest in temporary things. This discernment is our shield against the storms of life. Thank you, Pastor Kegler, for delivering this strong message from God. This will lead us forward and higher together as we continue to build on the solid foundation of God's Kingdom.
