The Truth is Series: Absolute Truth – Absolute Cure
November 20, 2024
Transcript: Since our culture’s become so morally sick and defined good as evil and evil as good, is there a cure? When truth’s rejected and division results, is there healing? The answer is – there can be. Hello I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. To some, the Bible’s inspiring – a good book. For others it’s a source of truth. At APN, we lift up the Word of God as the final authority – the only source of Truth. Never in error- always right. It alone defines good and evil. It alone can point the lost and wandering to eternal life. Its truth alone -if obeyed - can heal the lonely heart and restore the broken family. Obedience to God’s Word the Truth alone can restore our nation and return God’s blessing to us. An absolute cure exists -if we embrace Absolute Truth. The Truth is Series: When the Enemy Comes in
November 19, 2024
Transcript: This week we’re focusing on Truth. Isaiah 59:19 says, “When the enemy come’s in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against them.” As evil floods our land, and truth falls in the streets, Isaiah declares that God’s Spirit will raise up a standard against it. Hello. I’m Sam Rohrer, with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. This standard of course is Jesus Christ, the Way and the Truth. But God often chooses to raise up His prepared Remnant as the salt and light -the standard to oppose the evil. At APN, we equip, encourage, and assist God-ordained pastors in the pulpit to be vanguards for Truth. Yet, every true Christian is part of God’s empowered standard to stand against the enemies of Truth. Are you doing your part where you are? Will you join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV and raise the standard of truth? Sign up and stand with us at American Pastors Network dot net.
The Truth is Series: What is Truth?
November 18, 2024
Transcript: Pilate asked Jesus life’s essential question: What is truth? Some time ago, I interviewed a candidate for public office and asked him to define Truth? His answer: “I don’t know.” So I asked, “How will you make your decisions in office and know you’re right?” He said, “I guess I’ll follow my gut.” Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer, with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. Truth’s not subjective, open for debate or found in the gut. Rejecting Jesus as Truth - like Pilate – ensures no moral compass. Rejecting Truth results in confusion, moral bankruptcy, bribery and corruption. Rejecting Truth guarantees that no person in office be they Republican, Democrat, or Independent- can lead with integrity, principle and consistency since each desirable character traits hinges on Truth as defined by God’s Word and modeled by Jesus Christ. This week, I’ll focus on truth and what the Bible says. Will you join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV and embrace the truth? Sign up and stand with us at American Pastors Network dot net
America’s Greatest Needs Series: The Need for Love
November 15, 2024
Transcript: What’s the greatest need in America today? It’s certainly not a vaccine or even a new Congress. We need what only Christ can give. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. This week, I’ve presented greatest needs in America. repentance, a revived church, truth, and perseverance. A greater need and more powerful in many ways is the need to demonstrate agape love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 teaches, “So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” You see, Jesus taught that others will know we are His followers by our love for one another. This convicting truth challenges us to evaluate our daily actions. We let our light shine brightest when we walk in truth, witness of the truth and show Godly love to others. There’s no greater need in our nation, or in our world today. Are you demonstrating God’s love? Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.
America’s Greatest Needs Series: The Need for Endurance
November 14, 2024
Transcript: What does every Christian need? Endurance! It’s been said the Christian life’s not a sprint. but a marathon. And it’s true! But how do you run the race with endurance? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. Hebrews 12 teaches us to “run with endurance the race set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith.” These powerful words of Scripture remind us our victory is found in our relentless pursuit of Christ. We live in a culture that values speed. We cook food in a microwave, and find ourselves frustrated if our internet connection’s too slow. This attitude though often creeps into our spiritual lives, as we find ourselves ready to give up when God doesn’t answer right away. Yet Scripture’s filled with examples of those who made a great impact by not giving up. Let’s run with endurance and focus on Jesus today. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.
America’s Greatest Needs Series: The Need for Truth
November 13, 2024
Transcript: What does every person in America need? The Truth. In Hosea 4:6, God said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. The people of Israel had rejected knowledge substituting personal pleasure for Truth. Hosea 4:9 notes, “And it shall be like people, like priest; I will punish them for their ways.” You see, when we abandon truth, we invite judgment upon our lives and upon our churches. Instead, III John 4 says, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” So, if we truly seek to glorify God, and walk in power in this life, we must build our lives on His truth. God’s Word is truth. Jesus is the Way and the Truth. Let’s intentionally follow our Lord, obey His Word, and grow in truth. Discover more encouraging resources at American Pastors Network dot net.
America’s Greatest Needs Series: The Need for a Revived Church
November 12, 2024
Transcript: What does the Church in America need most today? More than money, it needs revived! What will it take to awaken the Church of today? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. The Apostle James served as leader of the First Christian Church of Jerusalem. When he wrote about revival, he said, “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” You see, God goes where he is welcomed. As individuals and churches, we must make Christ and obedience to Him our top priority. James goes on, “Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” Even as believers, we regularly stand in need of confession and cleansing. Our actions reflect our hands. Our hearts represent our thoughts. So as the True Church, let’s lead the way by, confessing our sins, and drawing near to God praying for a Revived Church in America. America’s Greatest Needs Series: The Need for Repentance
November 11, 2024
Transcript: The needs facing America today are daunting. From lingering pandemic related sicknesses to runaway inflation to a collapsing economy. From failing schools to silent churches. Yet there is one need and solution never mentioned in our news: and that’s the need for repentance and a return to God. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. The Lord warned King Solomon how to respond when his nation stood in need. The words of II Chronicles 7:14 remain true for America today: “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven.” Repentance is not easy. Humbling is hard. But from God’s perspective, only repentance with a genuine return to God can extend the mercy of God. Let’s do our part now – humbling, repenting and interceding in prayer for our nation. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.
God’s Prayer Requirements Series: Pray with the Right Motive
November 8, 2024
Transcript: Prayer can be powerful – and God wants us to pray, but, He demands that it be done His way or He won’t answer. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer, President of the American Pastors Network where we place great value on prayer because God does. For the last several programs I’ve been talking about God’s Prayer Requirements? Did you know that another reason God won’t hear us is if we pray for selfish reasons? James 4:3 says, “You ask and receive not, because you ask that you may consume it upon your lusts.” While God wants to answer our requests, James clearly warns us that when we ask God for things because we want an elevated status in the eyes of the world more than in God’s eyes, or so we can have favor with our friends more than favor with God, or for any reason other than that God will be honored, God will not answer our prayers. Our motivation for prayer makes an enormous difference. Are you praying selfishly or for God’s glory?
God’s Prayer Requirements Series: Pray with Faith-Believing
November 7, 2024
Transcript: Prayer can be powerful – and God wants us to pray, but, He demands that it be done His way – a clean heart, according to God’s will and praying with faith believing! How often do we come to God in prayer but don’t really expect Him to answer? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer, President of the American Pastors Network. At APN, we place great value on prayer – because God does. Christ said in Matt 21: 22, “..whatsoever you ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”. Christ told His disciples, when you pray in faith – truly believing God that can answer, you can do great things -- even move mountains! The opposite is also true. Little faith, little power. Sometimes we don’t see answers to prayer because we don’t really believe God can or will answer. From now on, let’s pray in power, clean, obedient and in faith believing because God can and will answer according to His will just like He promised – even move the mountains.
God’s Prayer Requirements Series: Pray for God’s Will
November 6, 2024
Transcript: Prayer can be powerful. It can move mountains, or it can move nothing. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer, President of the American Pastors Network. The Pastors network places great emphasis on prayer- because God does. Unfortunately, too many people just go through the motions with no power, no answers, no results because their heart is unclean. Psalms 66:18 says, “If I harbor sin in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” Unconfessed sin is fatal to powerful prayer. The Psalmist goes on to say that even if we sacrifice and cry out with great passion but have sin in our heart, not only will God not answer, but He won’t even listen! Living in disobedience to God’s commands, living in sin or harboring unconfessed sin in our hearts guarantees that our prayers won’t be answered. In these perilous days in our nation’s history when more people seem to be praying, shouldn’t we look into our hearts first? Can God answer your prayers or is your sin preventing Him from even hearing you?
God’s Prayer Requirements Series: Pray with a Clean Heart
November 5, 2024
Transcript: Ever hear the phrase, “Prayer changes things.” Do you believe it? The Apostle Paul said, ‘Pray without ceasing. James says, ‘the effectual prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much.” Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network. At the Pastors Network, we place great value on prayer – because God does. Prayer’s a command. It’s worship. It’s also a privilege. Ever wonder then why more people don’t pray and why we don’t see more answers to prayer? Most Christians know in their head that prayer’s important and many faithfully pray– particularly for our nation in these critical days yet - we see little visible impact. Perhaps there’s a reason God’s not answering our prayers! For the next several days, I’ll identify 3 primary reasons why God says He won’t answer some prayers. While praying is good. Praying in obedience to God and according to His will with faith believing is essential.
God’s Prayer Requirements Series: Does God Answer all Prayers?
November 4, 2024
Transcript: James 5 talks about the power of prayer and that’s good because our nation’s needs are immense. Sadly, most people only look to God as a last resort. Where’re you looking? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastor’s Network. Until God’s people start and finish on their knees there’ll be no power. There’ll be no help. Power in prayer must be marked with a commitment to the obedience of God’s Word, a genuine attitude of humility and repentance, and a singular dependence on God alone. When people depend on organizations, they get what organizations can do. When people depend on people, they get what people can do. When people depend on education, they get what education can do. When people depend on government they get what government can do. But only when people depend on God alone and come to Him in prayer on His terms will they get what all and only God can do. Are you praying? Are you praying on His terms?
Rumors of War Series: Living Ready
November 1, 2024
Transcript: One growing trend in our society is an entire industry developed around emergency preparedness. Ads warn viewers to stockpile food and prepare a plan for a time of future disaster. While physical preparation is wise but temporary. Spiritual preparation is essential and eternal! Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. This week, we’ve looked at what Jesus said about future wars, rumors of war and other end times warnings. Jesus told us not to be alarmed, that these conflicts must take place, and that these wars are not the end. In Matthew 24:45, Jesus used a parable to highlight our response. He asked, “Who then is the faithful and wise servant?” Our response to conflict is not fear; it’s faithfulness. We must serve and not swerve. We must stand in faith not fall in fear. Observing Christs warnings should drive us to clarity and holiness, not confusion and paralysis.
Rumors of War Series: The End Is Not Yet
October 31, 2024
Transcript: When we go to a movie theater to watch a film, it usually begins with previews of upcoming features that say, “Coming soon to a theater near you.” The preview offers a glimpse of what is to come, but not the full movie. How does this relate to the predictions of the Bible? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. When Jesus warned His followers of future wars and problems, He added that “the end is not yet.” These trials would be part of the end, but not all of it. His goal was to prepare His followers for a future that would involve a time of conflict before His return. Still today, these prophecies are to prepare us. We are called to live holy lives and to share the gospel with all we can, knowing the time of judgment just ahead before Christ’ 2nd coming. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.
