Revelations of Messiah's Ministry

Michael J. Brennan consistently writes by revelation

The Temple

February 1, 2023 • Michael Brennan • 1 Corinthians 6:19, 2 Corinthians 3:17, Ephesians 1:20

“Do you not know that you are the temple of the Holy Spirit?” (I Cor 6:19) Paul may be the one writing the letter to the Corinthians, but he is not the one asking the question. He's just the scribe. The Spirit of the One who created the universe is asking. Why do suppose He is asking us that question? I would suggest you pause before you immediately answer. I did. And I keep on pausing every time I hear that question. I hear it every day because I started three months ago asking that question every morning. Those many pauses have forced me to let go of all my ‘learned’ answers to that question and wait for Him to tell me what He wants me to know about that question. I’m going to continue until He tells me to stop. But I will share just a few revelations that have come from those pauses. One morning as I paused, the scripture “The Lord is Spirit and where the Spirit is there is Liberty” (II Cor 3:17) just, suddenly, popped into my head. And, before my brain could get in the way, I suddenly ‘knew’ that LIBERTY was one of the reasons He wants me to know that I am His temple. Another time in my pause, some physical challenges I was facing popped into my consciousness. Immediately, I ‘knew’ that those issues were not mine but His. Yet another reason why He wants to know that I am His temple. I’ll share one more, then I’ll leave any more pauses to you. This particular morning, I was feeling very overwhelmed by a flood of depressing ‘knowing’ coming in on me. They were negatives about my life, my family, my friends, about my country. And, then right in the middle of that flood, once again, a scripture just popped in my mind, “As He is, so am I!” (Eph 1:20) I ‘knew’ yet another reason why He wants me to know that I am His temple is to replace that flood of depressing ‘knowing’ with His ocean of Shalom. And the beat goes on. Give it a try! But I warn you, that if you do, you may find it really hard to stop.

January 25, 2023 • Michael Brennan • Ephesians 5:14

What is this ‘fullness’ John says we have all received? What is the ‘victory’ that he talks about? That’s when the battle is over, and you’ve won, right? Well, that’s not the whole picture of victory. The other day, Tom Brady (quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL) got one of his famous last-minute come-from-behind victories. But, if you look closely, the victory did not come at the end. The victory came when he tricked his opponents into defending their lead instead of continuing to aggressively advance to victory. In other words, they lost in the minute that they started believing that he could actually pull off another come-from-behind victory. The message is my focus. I couldn’t care less about football victories. What if our accuser’s intent is to get us so focused on getting God to manifest His victory in our present circumstance that we completely lose sight of victory as one of the names of the One who lives in us right now? What if some of the reasons we are not seeing as much victory in our personal circumstances are that Heaven is using them to wake us up. “Awake, you who sleep...Arise from the dead...And Christ will give you light” (Ephesians 5:14). Please note, it does NOT say “And Christ will answer your prayer.” It does say He will give you LIGHT, meaning open your eyes and your heart to see things from His point of view. Therein is the real victory.  When you and I know that “As He is Victory” is a state of being, then “so are we Victory” is His state of being becoming our own state of being). Victory is ours way before we see it with our natural eyes. Yes, absolutely! Heaven’s desire is His will manifest on earth as it is in Heaven. Heaven’s way for that to happen is for us to know that He is Our Father, and His Holy Name is ours. Simply put, we begin as Victory in Heaven, and then we manifest “His will on earth.” Huge mind shift here! I don’t know about you, but I’m asking the Counselor to “sink this in my heart” ….’often!’

Effective Prayer

January 18, 2023 • Michael Brennan • James 5:16, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Isaiah 55

“The fervent, effective prayer of a righteous man avails much.” (James 5:16) The most important word in this verse is ‘righteous’. Righteous describes one's identity, not ones ‘doing’. His perfect rightness in us is the fuel of fervent praying and as His perfect rightness actually becomes us (“As He is, so are we” - 2 Cor 5:21) our praying becomes more and more effective. Praying is not the same as saying prayers. Praying from HIs ‘rightness’ in us moves us from the ‘doing’ of prayers to ‘being’ the prayer. When Jesus commanded Lazarus to come out of the grave He was not ‘doing’ prayer. He was not making a prayer request ’to’ the Father. Being “one with the Father, His words were the Fathers words and since God’s words “never come back void” (Isaiah 55) Jesus’ fervent, effective words availed the raising of Lazarus from the dead. Here’s the simplicity of it all. If the Righteousness One abides in us, then our prayer already avails much. Just how much depends on how much we abide in Him. The more His ‘rightness’ is our identity, the more we pray. Sometimes, we even use words. Our prayer is then saturated with His ETM consequences - His Eternal, Supernatural, Miraculous consequences. By the way, that was the whole plan from the beginning.

Already In You

January 11, 2023 • Michael Brennan • Matthew 6:33

Because some scriptures are so familiar, we tend to assume we know exactly what they mean. For example, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.” What it does NOT mean is that you are a four-part being -a heart, a soul, a mind, and a strength being. And that you should be trying your utmost to love God in all four of those parts of your life. Yeshua was quoting a first testament scripture when He spoke these words, and all those parts are actually an idiom, simply meaning totality or without reservation. When that scripture is applied to us AFTER the Resurrection, it now takes the focus completely off of us, and any ’trying with our utmost.’ It, now, becomes all about Him. Loving God with your all (heart, soul, mind, strength) is, now, all about allowing by invitation His perfect Love, which is already in you, to progressively (daily, hourly, continually) invade every aspect of your life. Here’s another familiar scripture …with the same message. “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.” What it does NOT mean is that God should be at the top of all your priority lists. (God, family, job, etc.) What it does mean is that the Kingdom of God is THEE first and only, and there is NO second. His Kingdom is everything and any priority we have on our list that is not totally surrounded and defined by His Kingdom is to completely ‘miss the mark’ (root meaning of sin). Yeshua adds “and His Righteousness” because the free gift of His Righteousness is why we are already in the Kingdom. So, ‘seeking first’ really means just letting what’s already in you become first place in every aspect of your life. This is just like what “Loving Him with all your heart," etc. is all about. - 🌐 -

Walk the Talk

January 4, 2023 • Michael Brennan • John 14:27, 1 John 4:17

You need to ‘walk the talk.’ Ever hear that before? Ever say it to someone? It’s another form of “practice what you preach.” The problem with cliches is we always assume they are true. But, often, they are not true. Well, you may say, “Certainly, ‘Walk the talk’ is true.” Actually, it’s not, the opposite is true. In fact, the opposite is true in a big way. IT’S OUR TALK THAT DETERMINES OUR WALK. Our walk tends to follow what comes out of our mouth. A very disturbing current example is the all too frequent ’news’ of an unsuspecting person (often older) getting ’sucker-punched.’ That’s NOT a spontaneous act. The puncher is someone whose constant self-conversation is so full of anger and rage that it finally produces a walk. Their angry talking becomes an angry act. There are far too many angry-talkin’ folks out there full of sucker punches just waiting to happen. Now, let that negative example highlight the wonder-filled opposite. When “out of the abundance of our heart our mouth speaks” Him and not just what He can do, then He BECOMES our walk. That needs repeating. When we shift from our ‘christianeze’ talking, using ‘holy’ words to try to get God to come and do something for us, to simply declaring WHO HE IS, often and regularly, He progressively BECOMES our walk. Why keep asking for peace when ‘walking in Peace’ is available, because Peace is already in us. ‘My Peace I give you, not as the world gives’ (Jn 14:27). Jesus is saying that Peace is My state of being, not just something I hand out in stressful times. TALK THE WALK! The “Light Be” Talker is ever-present in us. The more we ‘Light be’ talk, meaning let His Talk be our talk, the more He will BECOME our walk. “As He is, so are we, in this world.” (Always seems to get back to that scripture)

Table of the Lord

January 1, 2023 • Michael Brennan

Take communion, today! He said, “Do this often!” This means more than once a month (or a week) in a church service. Taking the Table is NOT the same as having a communion service. You really don’t have to make a ‘ritual’ out of it. Elements (bread and wine) are fine, but NOT necessary. Just use your right and left hand. Right hand represents His Body. Left hand represents His Blood. Now, just pat them on your chest or lift them to your lips, one at a time, and say “Thank You, for making my body so important to You" (or any other thanks you might know). Then, do the same with your left hand. “Thank you for awaking in my blood Your Eternal Supernatural Miraculous Life” (or any other Thanks for His Blood). This a profoundly ‘good habit’ to get into, daily, many times a day. “Why?” you ask. Because this (the Table taken often) is THE mightiest weapon, we have. It has the power to completely “bring down” strongholds, such as our stinkin’ thinkin’, as well as ”bring into captivity’’ every thought trying to fill you with the big three, concern, anxiety, and fear. It, the Table was taken often, has HUGE power, first in your body, then in the lives of your family and friends, and your neighborhood, your town, your city, your state, your nation, “to infinity and beyond”. It was never meant to be a ‘church have to.’ but rather a very NOW ‘get to’ It is a way to be standing in the full armor of God, ALWAYS, to have His Helmet on all the time, and His Breast Plate, and His Truth Belt, and HIs Peace Shoes, and His Shield, and His Faith. Why wait for a church service to eat and drink? So much POWER! The exceeding greatness of His Power toward (in) us. Don’t think about, discuss it, analyze it, preach it… JUST DO IT! Please! This is probably the best “New Year” resolution you could make. ✡️

December 28, 2022 • Michael Brennan • Hebrews 13:8

Always! Yes, always, meaning never not. Also, meaning in every way. He is never not ‘Always.’ Always what? Always Good, meaning He is not just always doing good things, but also, He is Good always.  Always Kind, meaning He is not just always doing kind things, but also, He is always Kindness.  Always Loving, always Patient, always Joyful, always Gentle, always Faithful, always Peaceful. This means He is Always. Not just does always but IS always. ·     “I am always with you.” ·     “I always do the things that please the Father.” ·     “I always know that you (Father) hear me.” ·     "He always lives to make intercession for them (us).”   So, what is our response to His Always? We should: ·     “Always pray and not lose heart.” ·     “Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord” ·     Always confident ·     Always rejoicing ·     Always ready to give a defense ·     Always having sufficiency in all things And, most important of all, always inviting the Counselor to always be reminding you that your Father is always working in you to both to will (to be wanting His way, not yours) and to do (to be letting your weakness not able to do become His ‘do’). So that He can be always filling you with the knowledge of His Good Pleasure. Finally, always be hearing Him say to you as He did to the prodigal’s brother, “Son (daughter) you are always with Me and all that I have is yours.” This means His Always is yours, always!

Impossibly Perfect Peace

December 21, 2022 • Michael Brennan • Isaiah 26:3

“He will keep him in perfect Peace... whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts You” - Isaiah 26:3 It’s easy to read that and give it a passing ‘yes and amen’ (because we’ve seen or heard it quoted many times before). But it’s actually impossible…unless... “with God nothing is impossible.” However, God’s impossible rarely manifests to a passing ‘yes and amen.’ Remember how the light bulb needed Edison to get past its impossibility? Today, the onslaught against you and me of having anything close to ‘peace’ (forget about it being perfect) is overwhelming. In fact, it is downright impossible. Stop for a moment and just let all the opposite of ‘peace’ in your life slap you in the face right now. It’s not unlike yielding to a tornado. Stay there for a little while. Now try to ‘peace’ yourself. Make it all go away and just have ‘perfect peace.’ In and of ourselves, it is impossible. And if you should have a moment of success, notice how quickly it fades. BUT GOD... (I’m so very grateful for that, BUT). The outrageous Power of those Words destroys every single speck of all that ‘impossible.’ And all that it requires of us is to ’stop and open’. Stop ’trying’ to deal with, handle, manage, etc., anything, and use His faith-filled words to open your heart - the place where all the impossible stuff is really affecting you. And let His Words (spoken by you) invade your ‘inner man.” Is He not “in” us? Like Edison, we have to ‘keep on keeping on’. Notice the word ’stayed.’ It means remaining until His Peace is your entire support system. Life will keep on pulling us into all the ‘impossible stuff.’ In this world you will have afflictions (stuff) but take courage (open your heart) because I HAVE OVERCOME. His Peace is always perfect, and it frees us from trying to trust and empowers us with His perfect Trust. Finally, notice this: “He will keep him (you).” Our job is to ’stay.’ His job is to flood all our ‘impossible stuff’ with His Perfect Peace. Go for it!

The Whole Armor of God

December 15, 2022 • Michael Brennan • Ephesians 6:11

“Put on the WHOLE Armor of God” {Ephesians 6:11} The armor is never ‘off’ you, ’put on’ means to activate. If your great uncle left you a million dollars and it’s now in the bank with your name on it, then all the why and how and what if questions don’t matter anymore because it’s yours. In the bank right now, all day today, and tomorrow and beyond. But every morning, when financial worries come flooding in, you sit with your coffee and remind yourself that your bank is full. You ‘put on’ your newfound wealth and tell all your worries to ’take a flying leap’. So, how much of His ‘Fullness’ is deposited in your bank, your innermost being, your heart? Paul’s (Holy Spirit’s) command is to ‘activate’ the WHOLE Suit of Armor, ALL of His Fullness: ·     His Helmet (mind) ·     His Breast Plate (emotions) ·     His Belt (passion) ·     His Feet (Peace) ·     His Sword (Faith) ·     His Shield (protection) Back to your great uncle (your Great Father). Asking for a million dollars is no longer in your vocabulary, because it’s ALREADY THERE. But, awakening to it or activating your mind to it, opening yourself to be schooled by Holy Spirit in how to live and be as a wealthy person. That is something you will do all day long, every day, again and again. Activate your mind until you move from having lots of money to being wealthy. Immerse yourself in the revelation of the armor until it becomes how you naturally think. Once again, hear the Holy One calling you to put on the WHOLE VICTORIOUS ARMOR of the King! Shut off all those questions. Stop looking at what you have and start to activate who you are. Full of His Wholeness.  Don’t spend any time trying to talk yourself into it. Just say it, often, until you hear a “yes and amen” in your innermost being. “Put on the Whole armor of God’’ is only a great scripture quote if it never comes alive in our hearts. His Whole is yours; it is ours. Let’s wear it today, together. 🗝️

Where Jesus IS - So Are We

December 14, 2022 • Michael Brennan • John 14:2–3

“And when I go to prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself that where I am you may be also…” NOT talking about where you go after you die. Was talking about a NOW state of being. “Where I am” is about HIs then, now, and forever perfect oneness with His Dad. “Take you to myself” has already happened and His perfect past, present and future oneness with His Dad is now ours. Listen again to some of the first words He spoke after His Resurrection: ”Go tell my brethren that I go to My Father AND YOUR FATHER.” In other words, “I went to the ‘place’ (Cross) and removed every reason for distance and delay. Now I can take you to myself - to the same place I occupy in my Father’s heart.” “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased…” Maybe we should stop fighting all the battles and fully embrace the truth that He has taken us to Himself. Less questions and more thanksgiving. Gratitude without the needy attitude. Less praying to and for and more living “IN” and “WITH” and “FROM.” Less wondering “if” and more “yes & amen!” More rejoicing, celebrating, and more hallelujah’s that “where He is we are also!” 🗝️

Come Up Here!

November 18, 2022 • Michael Brennan • Revelation 4:1–2

“COME UP HERE and I will show you things which must take place after this.” (Rev. 4:1) The last verses of Revelation chapter 3 set the stage for us to “COME UP HERE”. As Yeshua passionately pleads with us to ‘hear’ and respond to His knocking on our door. Heaven’s been waiting 2000+ years for the Ekklesia to open that door and to have ‘ears to hear’. Now, He is inviting us to “COME UP HERE” and so we can. This invitation is not to just see ’things to come’, but to be the ambassadors of “heaven on earth”. This is not wishful thinking. It makes our present challenging time profoundly exciting. It is the very real possibility that we, His earthly ‘kings and queens’, are finally ready to “COME UP HERE”, to stop battling for victory and to actually BE the victory. This is not just a shift in language, using the latest declarations instead of pleading, this is a whole identity shift. It is an opportunity to BE the Kingdom instead of just talking about it. We can see the Kingdom again only this time don’t just read it, hear it!!!  ‘COME UP HERE AND I WILL SHOW YOU THINGS WHICH MUST TAKE PLACE. It’s being said right now, but only  those who have “ears to hear” (repeated to all seven churches) will be and are now a part of the increasing number of overcomers who are learning that UP HERE is where we belong.  The original invitation came to John and, as soon as he heard it, he was there. The echo of that invitation is alive and well right now. John’s good and holy behavior did not get him there, and neither will ours. To those with ‘ears to hear’ means we have to be more tuned into Him than all the noise surrounding us. To be “UP HERE” was the goal all along. “I will build My Ekklesia, and the gates of Hell will not prevail.”  After 2000 years of patiently waiting, the time for His Ekklesia to COME UP HERE is here!!
