Christmas Series: Not Just a Cultural Holiday
December 23, 2024
Transcript: Will you celebrate Christmas as a religious event or a cultural holiday? According to Pew Research, while 9 in 10 Americans will celebrate Christmas, less than 5 in 10 will celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer of the American Pastors Network with another Stand in the Gap Minute. Certainly the culture’s attacked and undermined the importance of Christmas. The relentless effort to remove God from government and Christ from culture has taken its toll. But it’s possible for Christians themselves to be contributing this dreadful demise! Turning Christmas into a cultural celebration rather than a Christ-centered time of concentration is easy to do so be careful. If you know Jesus as Lord and Savior, make this year an intentional time of reflecting on the fact that Christmas is about a Person, not just an event. Make sure this choice starts in your own heart then modeled to those around you. Partner with us at American pastors network dot net so we can together exalt Jesus as Savior and Lord all year.

Christmas Series: The Baby King
December 19, 2024
Transcript: In just a few days, we’ll celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus. The prophet Isaiah said, “For unto us a child is born…”, but He’s so much more. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and a timely Stand in the Gap Minute. As Isaiah said, upon this baby’s shoulder is laid the government that shall last forever for this baby is also, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, the King of Kings. You see, while the world entertains a baby in a manger, it rejects that baby as King. He came first as a Lamb sacrificed in love for our sins offering Salvation free to all. For those rejecting Jesus as Savior, they’ll stand before Him as Judge in wrath against sin. Kneel before Jesus as Redeemer this Christmas so you won’t have to bow before Him as Judge. Join with us at American pastors network dot net and partner with us not only in prayer but with your finances as well.
Christmas Series: It Starts with Redemption
December 18, 2024
Transcript: With Christmas just ahead, what does it mean to you? Do you approach Christmas with God’s view in mind? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer, with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. At Creation, when God created man and gave him life, He planned to give him even more - a Redeemer. You see, the Christmas gift promised at Creation was a demonstration of the love and mercy of God to a fallen and sinful human race. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. Because He loves us, the Son of God, Jesus Christ the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the Creator became like the created, wholly God yet wholly Man for you and me. For this Christmas, think first about Redemption and God’s gift of love you. Accept Him now if haven’t. Share that gift with others – if you have. Join with us at American pastors network dot net.
Christmas Series: Pure in Christ
December 17, 2024
Transcript: As adopted children of God, we have an elevated identity in Christ. I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. When we make mistakes and sin every day, it’s easy to become discouraged and give up even trying to be like Christ. Yet I John 3 verse 3 teaches that everyone with their identity in Christ purifies themselves as Christ is pure. What does this mean? First, if you’re a believer, we can live in daily confidence. We’re FORGIVEN. The penalty of our sin’s been paid! Second, we can live in victory. While our flesh is weak, the Spirit’s empowering. When we lean on God’s strength, we can live out God’s will- God’s way. Allow understanding our identity in Christ to empower us to be grateful to God our loving Father and enable us through His Spirit to shape our focus and better impact this world for Christ this Christmas season and beyond. Christmas Series: Children of God
December 16, 2024
Transcript: Only in Christ can true meaning and purpose in life be found. I John 3 offers valuable insights into our identity as God’s children. Understanding our position in Christ will strengthen our faith and witness. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. If we know Jesus Christ as Savior, God’s made us part of His adopted family. He’s promised an inheritance, an eternal home in heaven and joint heir relationship with Jesus Christ Himself. Not employees, contractors, or slaves, we’re beloved sons and daughters of a loving Heavenly Father. And as only God our Father can do, He loves unconditionally. We can do nothing to make Him love us more or to love us less. As we close out one year and welcome another, may this understanding of our identity in Christ prompt us to love others unconditionally, and model for a world in need what it means to be a child of God. Transcript: Because of Christ, we can have victory. Concluding one year and starting another can be done in victory. Until we commit to biblical obedience and putting on the armor of God and engaging the enemies of God and His Truth - the Church, our families, and our nation will remain weak and divided. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer, Pres of the American Pastors Network with another Stand in the Gap Minute. Resisting the devil and fleeing from temptation is critical for victorious living, but fleeing to and pursuing righteousness, faith, love, and peace along with others who with a pure heart follow the Lord in obedience as II Timothy 2:22 records is essential. Living victorious Christian lives requires the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives and that power can only be experienced when we’re pursuing holiness and righteousness…God’s will not our will… and choosing to engage the enemies of Truth according to God’s plan. Stand with us in victory for the glory of God at American Pastors Network dot net.

The strategy of Resisting the Devil and fleeing temptation comes next, but there’s more. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer, with the American Pastors network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. Warning about evil people and their tactics Christ describes as ‘wolves’ in Matt. 10:16 is critical for every pastor, parent, and person in authority. The devil works through wolves to destroy, persecute, and ravage the sheep. We see this in America today. So, Christian leader, when’s the last time you warned your people – your children - about a wolf? When’s the last time you stood on the wall and warn about the advancing enemy? When’s the last time you contended for the faith and warned about the false prophet as commanded by Jude? Pastor and Christian leader, will you Join with us today at American Pastors network dot net and warn the sheep?

Spiritual Victory Series: Resist the Devil
December 10, 2024
Transcript: Is your spiritual life marked more by victory or defeat? If we are more than conquerors through Jesus, as Romans 8:28 declares, then victory’s a choice. So, what’s your winning strategy? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer Pres. of the American Pastors Network with another Stand in the Gap Minute. Victory over the devil’s possible. James 4:7 says, Submit yourselves to God – resist the devil and he’ll flee from you. The order’s important. Submit to God first. Then resist the Devil. Submit means yielding your will and desires to God in obedience permitting the power of God through the Holy Spirit to flow through you. Then James says –resist the devil and He’ll run from you - not because of you, but because of God’s power working through you! Will you join with us today at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV submit to God then resist a real devil through the power of a real Holy Spirit and be real salt and Light as Christ expects? Spiritual Victory Series: Prepare for Victory
December 9, 2024
Transcript: Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network. For the next several days before my Christmas emphasis, I’d like to share some principles about Christian living, and spiritual victory. Victory requires knowing there’s an enemy and a battle. Eph. 6 says we battle not against flesh and blood but principalities and powers in high places -so put on the whole armor of God. Living victoriously as effective salt and light includes identifying the enemy as the world, the flesh and the Devil. Victory requires believing that the devil’s fighting hard to keep us defeated, ineffective, and without influence in our culture. Sadly, the latest surveys indicate that 74% of Americans say they’re Christians, but of these over 50% live in daily defeat because they don’t believe either the Holy Spirit or the Devil are real. Will you join with us today at American Pastors network dot net., put on the whole armor of God and live in victory over a real devil through the power of a real Holy Spirit?
Asking Questions Series: God's Presence When We Question
December 6, 2024
Transcript: The challenges of life can sometimes cause us to question God, but they should never cause us to quit on God. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. As Jesus struggled in agony during His final moments on the cross, He cried out, "My God, my God, why have You forsaken Me?" The cross served as part of God's plan of salvation, but left Jesus in great pain at that moment. Likewise, we often question God's plan when we face difficulty and pain. Yet even with nails in His feet and hands, Jesus did not allow His question to keep Him from fulfilling His mission. He remained faithful, serving as an example for us. As you endure setbacks in your own life, questions are okay. God can handle our doubts. But don't let pain cause you to quit on God. He has a purpose, even when we feel forsaken. Asking Questions Series: When God Doesn't Seem to Answer
December 5, 2024
Transcript: How should we respond when God doesn't seem to answer our prayers? A little-known Jewish prophet holds the key to our response. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. The prophet Habakkuk began his prophecy asking, "O Lord, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear?" Can you relate? We often feel like our prayers are unheard, leaving us with questions about God's plan for our lives. Yet God's response to Habakkuk applies to us today. The Lord responded, "I am doing a work in your day that you would not believe if told." Even when we cannot see the answer, God has a plan in place. Instead of giving up, we are challenged to look up. The one who created the universe continues to control our steps even when we cannot see the way. Asking Questions Series: God's Purposes Through Questions
December 4, 2024
Transcript: Did you know questions can reveal God's purposes for your life? They did with Moses—and they can with you today. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. After forty years of tending sheep, Moses experienced a burning bush where God called him to free the Jewish people from slavery. Yet Moses initially answered, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh…?" Moses didn't believe he was the right person for God's purpose. Do you ever struggle with God's purpose for your life? If so, God's response to Moses can encourage you today. He didn't tell Moses he was good enough. Instead, He declared, "I will be with you." When God is with us, we have all the strength we need. We can face life's questions with the Lord's power. Don't doubt your purpose; trust in God's purpose for your life today. Discover more helpful resources at American Pastors Network dot net.
