Do we need to observe the sabbath today?

Genesis 2:1-3, Exodus 20:8-11, Deuteronomy 5:12-15, Matthew 11:28-29 & Hebrews 4:9-11

September 13, 2020 • Rev. Adam Feichtmann

One of the greatest gifts God gives his people is sabbath rest. Sadly, we often don't slow down enough to enjoy this gift and receive its blessings.

This Sunday (this Christian Sabbath), in the sermon for our You Asked series, we’ll explore the question: “Do we need to observe the sabbath today?"

To best prepare for our time together, spend 10 minutes reading and meditating on the following passages: Genesis 2:1-3, Exodus 20:8-11, Deuteronomy 5:12-15, Matthew 11:28-29, and Hebrews 4:9-11. As you do, reflect on your habits of rest, both rest in time and rest in God.

It was a blessing to return to Redeemer last Sunday after my summer sabbatical. I look forward to worshiping with you again this Sunday!

Our in-person worship service is outdoors on the lawn at Temple Bat Yahm at 10:00AM. Masks are required for everyone over the age of 6.
