There's No Way To Take God Out Of School | Matthew 5:13-16
Mister Brown • Matthew 5:13–16, Philippians 2:4
You might be able to take the Bible out of schools, but you can never take God out of schools. When we represent God in us, we get to take God everywhere we go.
Bible Verses:

Matthew 5:13-16
13 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that[b] they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly of the Bible | Romans 15:4
Mister Brown • Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23, Matthew 26, 2 Samuel 11, Romans 15:4
Sin is ravaging our world and it shows up in so many ways. Sometimes we focus too much on the “ism” (racism, sexism, alcoholism, etc..) and never get to the root of the problem; which is sin! That is why we need to look at the Bible and learn from it. Scripture is either prescriptive, teaching how something should be, or descriptive, describing how something happened. We can have hope when we read the Word of God and learn from the stories and people it talks about.

Is Believing the Facts Enough?
Mister Brown • Romans 10:9–13, Acts 16:31, John 3:16, John 1:12, 1 Corinthians 15:3–4
Are you saved and how do you know? Is believing the facts enough to save you? Intellectual assent is not enough. Belief is more than that. True belief means you TRUST what Jesus Christ did on the cross is true, your sins are forgiven, and you become a child of God.

Worry About Nothing Pray About Everything?
Mister Brown • Psalm 50:10, Matthew 6:25–34, Matthew 26:36–39, 1 Corinthians 1:3–11, Philippians 4:6–7
One thing I like about teaching the Bible is that I get to learn too. As I prepare to teach from the Bible, I am learning more about God. The hardest part about teaching the Bible is living it out in my everyday life. At times, I am tempted to worry.
Philippians 4:6-7 says, “...do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
I like this verse because it reminds me about God’s provision. He is the source. When I am tempted to worry, I can look to God and know that He is in control. No matter the outcome, I know that it is part of God’s plan.

Talking About God vs. Talking To God | Philippians 3:7-11
Mister Brown • Philippians 3:7–11, Psalm 23:5, John 15:5, 1 Corinthians 10:31
One night at bedtime, I was struck with two thoughts. First, I thought about how I hadn’t posted to Proclaim Ministries Instagram in a while. Second, I remembered that I had not done my PB&J for the day, also known as prayer, reading the Bible, and journaling. These two thoughts made me realize that I have the privilege to talk about God (posting to Instagram) and to talk to God (doing my PB&J).
Talking about God gives glory to God and we can honor God with what we talk about. However, talking to God should come before that because it helps us to know Him better. When we know God, we can talk about God.
Paul said it best in Philippians 3:7-11 “But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith — that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.”
Ultimately, my goal is to know God better so that when I talk about Him it’s an overflow of my time with Him. Tell me what you think.

We Proclaim Him! | Colossians 1:28
Mister Brown • Colossians 1:28
We live in a world of “Look at me”, but as Christians, we should be proclaiming Him! Colossians 1:28 says, “Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, That we may present everyone mature in Christ.” This verse is what Proclaim Ministries is founded on. That we may proclaim His name and help people connect their faith and their everyday life.

How Do You Know If You're A Child of God?
Mister Brown • John 1:12, John 3:16–17
Are we all children of God? What does the Bible say? We have all been created in the image of God, but we are not all children of God. If you want to be God's child, you must put your faith in Jesus Christ.

Happy Easter or Resurrection Sunday?
Mister Brown • 1 Corinthians 15:14, 1 Peter 2:24, 2 Corinthians 5:17
Whether you call it Easter or Resurrection Sunday, it's what you're celebrating that matters. The fact is Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection changed everything and that is what we should be acknowledging today. Something to think about with regard to the resurrection: Propitiation - Jesus paid for our sins on the cross and satisfied the wrath of God on our behalf.
Bible verses:
1 Corinthians 15:14
1 Peter 2:24
2 Corinthians 5:17
The Crucifixion Of Christ Is A Good Thing?
Mister Brown • Galatians 3:13, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 5:6–8
Jesus’s death on the cross is a good thing? The answer is yes, because it is Christ’s death that saved us from our sin! Christ’s death is something done FOR us, and BY us. As we reflect on Christ’s death today, on Good Friday, may we remember that Christ suffered, bled, and died for us to save us from our sin. Will you believe in the sacrificial love of Christ?

Have You Been Praying All Wrong?
Mister Brown • 2 Chronicles 20, Matthew 6:5–15, Psalm 103:14
Is there a right way or a wrong way to pray to God? We should not be intimidated to speak to God through prayer. It is a conversation with God and a practice that we can have all day long. We should approach God with humility and reverence, but we don't have to have perfect words. God is our Father and we can approach Him as a child. He knows all about us. That is very comforting because we don't have to pretend to be someone else or try to hide from God.
Some practical ways to approach prayer:
The Lord's Prayer can be a model for us when we pray. https://proclaimministries.com/media/series/h8378gy/when-you-pray
Write down or journal your prayers to God
Have a conversation with God throughout your day; practice the presence of God.
Remember, with all of your prayers: His will be done.

My Relationship With God Has Been Forever Changed! | John 1:12
Mister Brown • John 1:12, Acts 16:31, 1 Corinthians 15:3–4, 2 Corinthians 5:21
Through Christ, my relationship with God changed from Creator and creature to Father and son. As human beings, we all have been created in the image of God so we have dignity, worth, and value. As Christians, we become God's children. We are not only image-bearers but His children as well. Put your faith in Jesus Christ and become His child.
