Throughout the Bible, we find scriptures that bring encouragement to our hearts, reminds us of the hope that we have, and also grounds us despite shifting cultures. These scriptures then can become an important relational connecting point when we share with others, which causes us to reflect: in our relationships, how is God using us to build others up? Are we working hard to build our kingdom? Are we building God's kingdom or are we doing a little bit of both? How grounded are we in the scriptures that we are able to be that solid rock in a world of shifting sand?
In this sermon, Pastor Katherine Hopkins took us to Romans 15, where we find Paul encouraging the church to live in harmony with others. We can be in a impossible situation, yet we can find hope and a unifying strength that brings joy above all! As Christians, we can stand together with one voice and one heart, focused on the Word of God to speak life to a hurting world.
