For we were not making up clever stories when we told you about the powerful coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We saw his majestic splendor with our own eyes when he received honor and glory from God the Father. The voice from the majestic glory of God said to him, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.” We ourselves heard that voice from heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain. 1Peter 2v16
Peter was an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ. He walked with Jesus physically on this earth. On the mountain with Jesus, they heard the voice of God. Even when they heard the voice of God, they were shocked and were so excited they wanted to remain on the mountain. What an experience.
We too have the same right and privilege. We too can hear the voice of God, however we do not have to be on a mountain top or hear the voice in a loud thunderous voice. In our lives on a daily basis, we can hear the still small voice of God in our hearts. It is a calming still voice that we hear. We have to listen carefully or we will miss it. In your prayer time, he will speak to you through the word or a still small voice as you remain quiet in his presence. You will just know that God is talking to you. In the market place, in the middle of the day, in the midst of chaos or challenges, God speaks to you. Listen for his voice. There is peace when he speaks and a great calm will come over you. Listen. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you how to listen. He gives you wisdom and discretion when you need it. He wraps favour around you like a shield. You will know this when people notice you in the market place and recognize your skill. God is at work in you, to show himself strong. Listen for his voice.
CONFESSION/PRAYER
I am God inside minded. I have complete understanding of the exceeding greatness of His power working on the inside of me.
My first thought in all things, is to seek my Father’s counsel and He gives me all things that I desire.
In every situation of my life, My Father’s words and Voice echo on the inside of me.
It Is God himself, the God of Peace who satisfies me through and through.
