The Spirit of the LORD is upon me,

for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.

He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,

that the blind will see,

that the oppressed will be set free,

and that the time of the LORD’s favor has come.” Luke 4v18

in the old testament, whenever someone was set apart for a special calling by God, they would take the anointing oil and pour it on the person, which signified that the person was now called by God to do a specific task.

In the New Testament, this anointing is from within, it is the power of God that enters a man/woman who receives salvation. The person is then filled with the Holy Spirit and is now empowered by God to do the work of the ministry. It is an enablement from the power of God, the spirit of God working in you to do great and mighty things. This anointing brings favour and an ease on your life to do things super naturally. Each and every person who is born again carries the anointing, however to what degree you carry this anointing depends entirely up to you. Each person activates the anointing to a different level, to the level that you will allow God to work in you. Wisdom flows into your life by the anointing.

Every day of your life you have to yield to the spirit of God and invite him into your day, allow him to work in you and consciously activate the power of God in you. When you do this, you will walk with favour with God and man. The ease of the anointing will flow, making you another man/woman. Allow this anointing to work in you today.

CONFESSION/PRAYER

The spirit of God lives inside of me and I am anointed by God to do great and mighty things.

The anointing is the yoke destroying, burden removing power of God.

The anointing on my life allows me to lay hands on the sick and they will recover.

I am anointed to serve.
