- Our prayers must not be pretentious in order to draw attention to ourselves.

- Our prayers must be meaningful conversations with God focused on seeking Him.

- Our prayers must not be full of repetitious, meaningless words in an attempt to persuade God.

- Our prayers must be meaningful conversations with God in order to develop a deeper relationship with our Heavenly Father.

- Intellectual knowledge alone does not bring eternal life. - A surrendered life points to Jesus. - The authority of Jesus demands a response.

- Lip service alone does not bring eternal life. - Remarkable works alone do not bring eternal life.

- False teachers exist and desire to harm the church. - Engaged followers of Jesus must recognize and confront false teachers.
