The Chosen is the largest crowd-funded media project of all time! The director and writers have been extremely creative in their retelling of the biblical narrative of the life of Christ, and now, you're invited to take a deeper dive!
In the bible study guide for season 1, "What does it mean to be chosen?" the chapters parallel each episode, connecting readers to the Bible in a brand new way. It includes:
- A deeper look at Isaiah 43 and its fulfillment in Jesus and the lives of His followers (including us)
- Script excerpts, quotes, and illustrations from the show
- Guiding questions for group discussions
We are loved because Jesus is love. We are saved because He is merciful. We belong to the family of God because Jesus invites us, making the Bible and all its promises as true for us today as it was for God’s chosen nation.
What does it actually mean to be chosen? To answer that question, we’re going Old School – Testament that is – which leads us back to the New. This ALWAYS leads us directly to Jesus!
This monthly class will meet every 2nd Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. starting January 16th in person at Tom & Judy Shaw's home in Rochester, NH. Dessert is included.
The cost for this class is $22, if you get the study guide through CLC. You can pay ahead of time at the church building. Just let your group facilitator know you're paying for "What Does It Mean to Be Chosen?" Please also bring a Bible and a notebook.
