Women's Bible Study

Jen Babcock

Please hit the SIGN UP button on this page in order to get the details on how to join us on Facebook Messenger as well as the handout emailed to you for this group! Hello Ladies! For those of you who may not know me, I am Jen Babcock and I am the Women’s ministry director here at CLC. Romans 15:4 says, "For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope." The scriptures teach us endurance, which gives us hope. A couple years ago, we began this weekly Women's Bible Study starting at the beginning, in Genesis, and we have been working our way through the whole Bible! And now, for the Winter Session, we are finishing up the Old Testament. And we really want you join us in this journey, even if you're just picking up where left off last! The group will be held on Mondays from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. via Facebook Messenger starting January 17. We understand that not everyone will be able to join us off that bat, but we're trusting that as circumstances change, we can find a time, as the weeks progress, that more and more people can join us. PLEASE make sure to hit the SIGN UP button on this page so you can get the details on how to join on Facebook Messenger and the material emailed to you for this group. We will be using a handout from The Bible Project as we delve into the scripture together. There is no cost for this material. Will you join us? Hit that SIGN UP button and jump in!

Gamblers Anonymous

Doug Krebs

In coming to Gamblers Anonymous and genuinely seeking help, you have probably taken the most important step of your life up to this point. This group is designed to help anyone on this journey, whether you're new to this group or have had experience in Gamblers Anonymous before. This group gives practical advice that has been tried and tested down through the years by many compulsive gamblers. All we ask of you is that you keep an open mind when you attend Gamblers Anonymous. Up to this point, your life (if you are like us) has been unmanageable, directed by your uncontrollable urge to gamble. The pattern your life has been following can only result in misery, heartache, and financial drain for you and those closest to you. The Gamblers Anonymous way of life will obviously be very different to you. It may even frighten you. But we can assure you, the Gamblers Anonymous way of life will result in happiness, peace of mind, and self-respect. All that is required is an open mind and a genuine desire to stay away from your next bet, one day at a time. We welcome you to Gamblers Anonymous and please, if there is anything you don't understand, ask someone for help. You are no longer alone. Accept the hand of friendship. This group will meet on Mondays from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. resuming again on January 17 at Christian Life Church in Eliot, Maine. If you are interested in joining this group, please contact the group leader, Doug Krebs. Hit the button that says "Contact Group Leader."

Cleansing Stream

Joe & Amanda Chenevert

Join Joe & Amanda Chenevert on Monday nights via ZOOM for "Cleansing Stream." To sign up for this group, hit the "SIGN UP" button on this page. Cleansing Stream is the introduction for the believer to God's power to heal and deliver us from wounds & experiences from our past that the devil tries to keep us bound in. Healing & deliverance must not be looked at as a once-in-a-life-time event but as part of the ongoing sanctification process. An individual can be instantly set free from a particular bondage by the power of God. However, he or she, while in this earthly body, is meant to continue advancing in Christ-likeness. So how does deliverance apply to Christians? The Bible says, “Do not give the devil a foothold (a place)” (Ephesians 4:27, NIV). When we experience the life-changing power of salvation like the Hebrew people found out, the land—our lives—is legally ours, but it needs a bit of clearing out! In this group, we'll teach you how the the Holy Spirit, through the Word of God, opens our eyes so we can embrace truth, repent, and reject the lies. Armed with His truth and authority, we can remove the enemy from our land. We'll meet on Monday evenings from 6:00-7:30 p.m. via ZOOM. Class begins on January 17. The materials for this course cost $35. You can pay by cash or check at CLC. Please hit the SIGN UP button on this page so you can get the ZOOM link as well as other details about the class. We're looking forward to all that God has in store for you!

Part 10

March 21, 2021 • Pastor Ron Satrape

In order to become One with God we have to change our thinking. We are commanded to love the Lord with all of our mind. One of the biggest obstacles to that is how ignorant we are to how man’s thinking has been corrupted by sin after his fall in the garden. 1. Sin affects our thinking and imaginations. 2. We can choose to have good thoughts and imaginations 3. Imagination is where the battle of victory or defeat takes place.

Bible Studies for a Firm Foundation

Pastor Denise Satrape

Join Pastor Denise on Wednesday mornings or evenings for "Bible Studies for a Firm Foundation." To sign up for this group, hit the "SIGN UP" button on this page. Many of us hold to biblical truths without ever really knowing them for ourselves or how these truths have been revealed from Genesis to Revelation. Oftentimes, we have done a surface study on these foundational truths while never really grasping an understanding that shapes our faith on solid ground. We are living in a time where it is imperative that the foundation of our faith be firmly established so that when the storms of life come, we are unshakable because our foundation is built firmly on the knowledge and understanding of the Word of God. In this group, we'll dig deeper into the Word of God together either establishing or reaffirming our understanding on some important topics. We will use the workbook entitled, “Bible Studies for a Firm Foundation” and our Bibles as we explore 28 different foundational truths. This will be an interactive study, where we will unfold the word of God and gain a heart of understanding that will empower our faith. Some of the many topics we will cover are: • Freedom from Sin and the Lordship of Jesus • What is True Repentance? • The Power in Water Baptism • How to Have Intimate Fellowship with Jesus • The Power and Authority of God’s Word • What is God’s Plan for Prosperity? • What is God’s Provision for Healing? • How to Have Great Faith in God These studies have shaped and established the faith of many throughout the years, and I'm excited to see how it will shape yours too! You have the option of either attending Wednesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. or Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. in person at CLC or via ZOOM starting January 19. We highly encourage you to come in person if you are able. The cost for this class is $23 for the book. You can purchase the materials ahead of time at CLC. The title is, “Bible Studies for a Firm Foundation" by Bob & Rose Weiner. Childcare is available for the PM group only to those who sign up in advance, which will be needed to adequately prepare. Hit the SIGN UP button on this page to let the facilitator know you are planning to come!

The purpose of the CLC Music Ministry is to make disciples. We accomplish this through the vehicle of anointed praise and worship music and technical arts. Our vision and mission is to lead and equip people to minister unto the Lord in worship as priests. 1 Peter 2:9 says, "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." Our vision and mission is also to cultivate an atmosphere which invites the presence of God to abide, while encouraging the people to draw closer to God in true worship. John 4:24 says, "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." The CLC Music Ministry is a team of men and women who feel a calling to use their gifts and talents in the area of music or technical arts to assist in ministering to God and His people. We work together in a spirit of humility and harmony encouraging one another as we cultivate and develop our gifts to serve the body of Christ. The CLC Music Ministry is comprised of the following areas: Technical Arts Department: Sound Ministry; Projection Ministry; Lighting Ministry Choir: CLC Choir; Choir Director; Assistant Choir Director Praise Team: Instrumentalists; Vocalists; Worship Leaders; Assistant Worship Leaders If you're interested in joining and/or auditioning for the music ministry, contact Rena Bold (xt. 203). Part 9

March 14, 2021 • Pastor Ron Satrape

Anytime a child is adopted by a family, there is an evaluation for the child to see if there are any past situations or environments that could adversely affect them as they move to a new, safe home. In Christ, when we're adopted into the Father's new home, we need God to help us identify past wounds so that we can be healed. 1. We begin by understanding how broken hearted we are. 2. We must learn to have close fellowship. 3. God will not leave us orphans John 14:18 (KJV)

Spritual Intelligence

Pastor Ron Satrape

Two quotients analyze our minds and emotions: IQ and EQ. But for too long, we have ignored a deeper dimension - spiritual intelligence. Because believers have the mind of Christ through the Holy Spirit, we have the capacity for brilliance. God invites us to embark on a journey of discovery as he reveals mysteries and helps us bring our perspective in line with his - transforming our understanding and endowing us with spiritual intelligence. In this eye-opening class, Pastor Ron will explore spiritual intelligence using Kris Vallotton's multi-week course where you'll learn how God invites us to think like him. We'll dive into questions like: - What are the five dimensions of spiritual intelligence? - How can I build new neural pathways to supernatural thinking? - How do I recognize my sphere of influence and the borders of my divine assignment? - And much more! As you listen to the Holy Spirit and realize what it means to have the mind of Christ, you'll discover that you have the capacity for life-transforming spiritual intelligence unavailable in any other way. How to have a More Successful New Year Part 1

January 1, 2017 • Pastor Ron Satrape

1. Success can happen before you are completely healed and whole. 2. Success has a pattern not a personality. 3. Success can be learned if you're willing to learn.

This kind of growth is best facilitated in our life through meaningful relationships. Here at CLC, we cultivate these relationships through fellowship opportunities on both a personal level and collectively as a group through purpose driven corporate events and regularly scheduled small groups and gatherings. Check out our Events tab down below to see what Men's Events are coming up. For more information contact Phil Sanborn (xt. 206). Tap "call us" or "email us."

Part 8

March 7, 2021 • Pastor Ron Satrape
