Weaving God’s GOODNESS into a tragedy

December 20, 2020 • Jeremy Helmuth

More than 600 years before Jesus was born, there was a prophet who predicted the horrific slaughter of innocent little babies. Until the birth of Jesus happened, no one would have thought that the prophecy in Jeremiah was about the massacre in Bethlehem. In the midst of great events, like the birth of our Messiah, there are also painful circumstances. As God works out his good purpose in your life, it is important to know that you have an enemy who wants to destroy you. This enemy will do whatever he can to steal your joy, to discourage you, to even hurt you. How do we gain the strength to withstand the tragedies of this life? How can we see the goodness of God no matter what happens to us?

Weaving HUMILITY into the plan of God

December 24, 2020 • Jeremy Helmuth

Being born in a cave in total obscurity is an odd way to enter the world if you are a king. Also, looking at the genealogy of Jesus, it is clear that God’s Son had liars, murderers and prostitutes in his lineage. God was not concerned with their outward appearances, but with the content of their heart. God wanted to use people who are imperfect to complete his plan to show the world that everything is accomplished by his power and wisdom. Learn how God uses everyone for his plan, and how you are part of the wonderful tapestry of God’s unfolding purpose on this earth. You will walk away encouraged that God is using you in even the smallest areas of your life.

November 15, 2020 • Jeremy Helmuth

Do you wish you could live forever here on planet earth because overall you love your life? If you are honest, you are a little scared of what will come after you die? Are you saving, investing and working hard to build an earthly fortune as if it will last indefinitely? Or do you make decisions based upon the fact that in less than one hundred years you will be in eternity? One Nation Under God

November 22, 2020 • Jeremy Helmuth

Many of us recited this phrase hundreds of times every morning in their school classroom growing up, but what does it mean for God to actually lead this nation? We must remind ourselves what it means for God to be the Lord of our lives. Psalm 33 presents several characteristics of a nation that places God in his rightful place. As we pray for God’s kingdom to come, we desire King Jesus to lead us. Is this even possible today when so many people in our nation hate God and his standards? With God, all things are possible! In this sermon, we will see how God has brought revival in many different nations (not just Israel) throughout the centuries when his people exalt the God of the universe. Come and be inspired to lift God to the throne of your life. You will walk away from this sermon with a renewed vision of how to help those around you turn from their wicked ways and instead seek after God.

Do you pray together before meals and before bedtime? Does the dad lead the family in devotions regularly? Do you have standards as a family that might make you feel like outsiders? Are you helping your children develop the right priorities in their spiritual walk? Does the example of your life help your children grow in a deeper love for God? Join us as we give you simple tools to lead your family in the ways of Jesus Christ.

Planting

Discover why the soil of our lives are so important if we want to produce fruit that is abundant and lasting. Learn why some people fall away after their initial excitement about God and how we can overcome the three main strategies of Satan in how he opposes the gospel.
