Are you trying to reach God or let Him reach you? We often think the work of “finding” God is done by our own power and our own ability to be pure and perfect, but the truth is God has done all the work. Ministry is defined as the spiritual work or service of Christians. That being said, what do you think is the highest form of ministry? Could it be serving people in a soup kitchen, or going on a missions trip to a third-world country? While those are good and worthwhile ministries, they aren’t the highest form according to Pastor Dan. In today’s message, he proposes prayer is the highest ministry for a follower of Christ to participate in. Prayer is the only thing the disciples asked Jesus to teach them.

If you’ve ever tried to start a new workout plan or change the way you eat, you know it’s not a one-time decision, you have to make a consistent effort. Eating healthy and working out one day is a good start but won’t really make a difference. As Pastor Dan reminds you in today’s message, following Jesus is the same way.
