"Drawing the Wrong Conclusions about Jesus" (Part 1)

February 11, 2024 • Pastor Asa Dockery

"Drawing the Wrong Conclusions about Jesus" -John writes that Jesus came to His own people and they did not receive Him. Even though Jesus taught like no other teacher and performed countless miracles in their midst, the Jews refused to believe He was God's Son. Repeatedly, the Jews came to the wrong conclusions about Jesus. Until Jesus is revealed to believers, we won't always understand His sayings. Even though God is our heavenly Father, we don't understand all of His ways. However, once the Holy Spirit reveals the spiritual truth to believers, we will know our God and be strong in our walk of faith.

"Letting Go of the Past" -As Christians, we can't do the same things the same way and expect our lives to be different. There has to be a transformation that takes place in our hearts. To override our human weaknesses, God has given to every person the measure of faith. To override our ways so that we can please the Father, He has given us His truth. As we obey the truth of God by faith, God will reveal the error of our ways so that we can be transformed. All we need to do is OBEY the Holy Spirit. It's that easy!

"There are Two Offers on the Table" (Part 2)

"There are Two Offers on the Table" -There is a spiritual war taking place over your soul. This war is between you and your desires (lusts). Even though we are in a war with Satan over our soul, Jesus has already won that war and His victory is forever secure. The war that we are engaged in now has to do with who will win our soul, Jesus or Satan. We war with our own desires for pleasure, but if we would submit our hearts to God, He would give us the desires of our hearts. What are you building your life upon, the Rock or sand?
