On the Cutting Edge

April 4, 2024 • Pastor Asa Dockery

"On the Cutting Edge" -People who are not born again, do not really think about God or that He watches everything that they do. Even as Christians, we don't always realize that God is watching us and sees how we treat or mistreat others so that He can deal with us about wrong behavior. Whether we're saved or sinners, we are all held accountable to the Lord for the way we live our lives. This is why the Lord tells us in His Word that if we sow to the flesh, we will reap corruption. If we sow to the Spirit, we will reap by the Spirit, life and peace. As children of God, we ought to hold ourselves accountable to obey God, so that He can reward us for our obedience and not have to punish us for our disobedience.

What Do You See?

"What Do You See?" -When you look at the world and its issues, what do you see? When you look at the things that are occurring in your life presently, what do you see? There's more to what we see than being able to receive information through eyes. Our eyes, ears, and mind are directly connected to our heart. Our heart takes in the information that we see and will render a judgement about what is happening to us or around us. If we guard our hearts spiritually, it will change the way we see things.

Truth That Makes Us Strong

May 16, 2024 • Pastor Asa Dockery

"Truth That Makes Us Strong" -What has to transpire in believers' hearts that might empower us to become strong in our faith? Jesus tells us in John 8. There were Jews that believed on Him as He spoke the truth to them. However, Jesus told the believing Jews that they would have to continue in the truth that He would give them if they wanted to be made free. It's not the truth that we believe that sets us free, but it's the truth that is revealed to us to be truth that has the power to transform us and to make us free. Christians need this message from the Lord.

Stand Up to Spiritual Bullying

May 12, 2024 • Pastor Asa Dockery

"Stand Up to Spiritual Bullying" -If you are a follower of Jesus, He requires us to be wise as serpents and remain harmless as doves. As Christians, Satan is our adversary. He will use whatever weapon that works to stop us from doing God's will for our lives. If a certain tactic doesn't work, Satan will try something different to use against us. Satan works through people in the world, as well as in the church world to intimidate or shame obedient Christians. It's time that all Christians stand up to spiritual bullying and be who God has created us to be in Christ. If you are born again, you are different than the world. God created us differently in Christ to make a difference in the world.
