Faithwork Assignment: When tragedy or difficulty strikes, it is a natural human reaction to look for someone to blame. We often point fingers at God, others, or ourselves because we cannot see the full picture. Take time to reflect on a difficult situation where you felt the need to assign blame. Instead of focusing on the cause, ask God to help you trust that He is at work even in the pain. God specializes in bringing new life out of hopeless situations. Consider where you need to see His reviving power and be willing to believe that He sees a bigger picture of redemption for your life than you can currently perceive.

The story of our faith is one of revival: of God breathing new life into dead places, awakening the dormant, and bringing flourishing to the languishing.
