October 18, 2026 • Rev. Lindsay Anderson-Beck • Exodus 19:3–6, Genesis 12:2–3, Exodus 34:6–7, 1 Peter 2:9–10
Sermon Series: The Story
Sermon: “God’s Own People”
Scripture: Exodus 19:3-6
Preacher: Rev. Lindsay Anderson-Beck
Who are you when the labels of the world fall away? When uncertainty strikes, humans often build counterfeit idols out of success, approval, or control to settle inner fears. Yet God answers human failure not by walking away, but by revealing His boundless mercy and steadfast love. Discover how Jesus secures our true calling as God’s treasured people. Listen now to discover your true identity and find freedom in His grace! #ChristianFaith #BiblicalIdentity #Exodus #GraceAndMercy #FaithJourney
FAITHWORK ASSIGNMENT:
Take time to sit quietly and examine the sentences and labels that have shaped your view of yourself over the years. Notice the areas where fear, doubt, or the need for control cause you to rely on modern idols like career status, financial security, or the approval of others instead of resting in God. Write down the counterfeit gods you tend to reach for when life feels overwhelming, and place those honest struggles before the Lord. Read First Peter chapter 2, verse 9, and write out God’s declaration over you as His chosen and treasured possession. Post that truth on your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, or car dashboard to actively guide your thoughts, reminding yourself throughout each day that your identity rests securely in Jesus Christ and His steadfast love.

Have you ever wanted to read the Bible? Or wondered what it's really all about? Here's your chance. Beginning September 20th, we are reading through the narrative of Scripture together, as one church family, over one year. Sermon Series: The Story
Sermon: “Choose Your Hard”
Scripture: Exodus 14:10-15, 21-25
Preacher: J.C. Fowler
Why do we run back to the very things that hurt us most? Facing major change often feels terrifying, whether breaking an addiction, speaking a hard truth, or stepping into an unknown future. Looking at Israel trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the Red Sea in Exodus 14, we discover that transformation is hard, but staying stuck is harder. God never calls us to walk alone; He fights for us and turns impossible walls into dry walkways. Choose the hard that leads to life, take your next step, and join a community ready to walk alongside you.
#SpiritualGrowth #FaithOverFear #Exodus #BiblicalTeaching #TrustGod #ChristianCommunity #LifeTransformation #ChooseYourHard
FAITHWORK ASSIGNMENT:
Transformation begins when we stop suffering what is familiar and start trusting God with the unknown. Begin by taking an honest look at the habits, mindsets, or comforts you cling to simply because they feel safe. Acknowledge the areas where you feel stuck or hesitant to follow where God is leading.

Solely Sermons | The Unseen Author
October 4, 2026 • Rev. Dr Stephen Heinzel-Nelson • Genesis 45:4–8
Sermon Series: The Story
Sermon: “The Unseen Author”
Scripture: Genesis 45:4-8
Preacher: Rev. Dr. Stephen Heinzel-Nelson
Sometimes the worst nightmares serve as the prelude to extraordinary blessings. Life rarely unfolds smoothly. Through the biblical narrative of Joseph, we discover how the Creator operates as an unseen author during our deepest valleys. Even when circumstances suggest otherwise, God is good and actively working for our benefit. By trusting His invisible hand, we learn that our character must rise above our situations. Discover how to navigate unexpected detours with resilient faith. #FaithJourney #BiblicalWisdom #ChristianLiving
FAITHWORK ASSIGNMENT:
God is powerfully present even when He seems silent, actively working behind the scenes. Take time to consider how you can trust His unseen hand during unexpected trials. Remember that what others intend for harm, God can use for ultimate good because He is fundamentally good. Reflect on where you need to look for His goodness in your current struggles. Finally, you possess the freedom to choose your attitude and make the right choices in any situation. Decide how you will let your character, rather than your challenges, define your next step.

Solely Sermons | The Promise Keeper
September 27, 2026 • Rev. Lindsay Anderson-Beck • Genesis 17:1–8
Sermon Series: The Story
Sermon: “The Promise Keeper”
Scripture: Genesis 17:1-8
Rev. Lindsay Anderson-Beck
Watch the full worship service: https://youtube.com/live/dr9p7s-eg_u
Have you ever waited years for a prayer to be answered and wondered if God forgot about you? The story of Abraham and Sarah shows how difficult the space between a promise and its fulfillment can be. Even when we doubt or try to take control, God remains faithful because His plans depend on His power, ultimately fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Listen/watch now to discover how to wait well and trust His timing! #FaithInTheWaiting #GodsPromises #AbrahamAndSarah #TrustGod
FAITHWORK ASSIGNMENT:
God's plans depend on His faithfulness rather than our perfection. Take some time to reflect on where in your life you need to stop trying to control the outcome and simply trust Him. Remember that waiting is not an empty void, but the very space where faith is formed. Consider how you can actively walk with God and keep showing up while waiting for an answered prayer. Finally, know that God meets our honest doubts with compassion and fulfills His ultimate promises in Jesus. Think about what honest doubts you are holding onto and bring them openly to God in prayer.

"The Story" is the Bible's own text, arranged in 31 easy-to-read chapters (with some sections edited or summarized) that let the grand sweep of the narrative shine through – from creation, through Moses and David, to the Messiah Jesus and the birth of the Church.

Live Worship | The Promise Keeper
September 27, 2026 • Rev. Lindsay Anderson-Beck • Genesis 17:1–8
Sermon Series: The Story
Sermon: “The Promise Keeper”
Scripture: Genesis 17:1-8
Rev. Lindsay Anderson-Beck

Solely Sermons | Offering Our Story
September 13, 2026 • Rev. Dr Stephen Heinzel-Nelson • Deuteronomy 26:1–11, Luke 24:25–27
Sermon Series: The Story
Sermon: “Offering Our Story”
Scripture: Deuteronomy 26:1-11
Preacher: Rev. Dr. Stephen Heinzel-Nelson
Watch the full worship service: https://youtube.com/live/qkwg6zmm2xy
Opening Scripture can often feel like being dropped into a foreign land without a map or guide. Navigating the sheer size and history of the Bible easily leaves many readers feeling lost and disconnected. By exploring ancient stories of remembrance and walking the Emmaus road with Jesus, Scripture transforms from a confusing collection of texts into a continuous, life-giving story of redemption. Take a step toward engaging God's Word alongside a supportive community! #BibleStudy #ChristianFaith #Scripture #SpiritualGrowth #WalkWithJesus #TheStory
FAITHWORK ASSIGNMENT:Take time to reflect on your journey with Scripture by identifying mentors and trusted resources that make the Word easier to understand. Look back at where God has brought you from, thanking Him for His rescue and daily provision in your life. Finally, read a passage from the Gospels with fresh eyes, asking God to reveal His character, affirm that you are His beloved child, and help you view His entire Word as a personal love story meant to guide how you live. Be sure to join us each week as APC shares "The Story."

Live Worship Replay | To Infinity and Beyond!
September 6, 2026 • Rev. Dr Stephen Heinzel-Nelson • Romans 15:22–29, Acts 1:6–8
Sermon Series: Oh! The Places You'll Go!
Sermon: "To Infinity and Beyond!"
Scripture: Romans 15: 22-29
Preacher: Rev. Dr. Stephen Heinzel-Nelson
What if your everyday life was fueled by an audacious dream that stretched all the way to the ends of the Earth? Long before modern travel, the Apostle Paul looked beyond Rome toward Spain, driven by a bold mission to bring the Gospel to places it had never been heard. Uncover how clarifying your God-given purpose transforms daily decisions, sustains you across every season, and shapes your legacy. Discover where God is calling you to step out in faith—whether across an ocean or simply across the street. Listen now and dare to discover your own "Spain." #FaithJourney #FindingPurpose #LiveWithMission #StartWithWhy
FAITHWORK ASSIGNMENT:
Take intentional time in prayer to identify your own personal "Spain"—that bold vision or meaningful calling that stirs your heart and directs your decisions. Reflect deeply on your foundational "why" by examining how your unique gifts and current season of life can be used in service to God rather than mere personal comfort. Finally, bring that vision into reality by taking one concrete step of faithful obedience right where you are: reach out to someone across the street, in your school, or at your workplace to share the extravagant love of Jesus.

Solely Sermons | Making Room
August 30, 2026 • Greg DuPey • 2 Kings 4:8–17
Sermon Series: Oh! The Places You'll Go!
Sermon: "Making Room"
Scripture: 2 Kings 4:8-17
Preacher: Greg DuPey
Watch the full worship service: https://youtube.com/live/8l7a57htl-k
Are you too busy to notice the divine moments happening right in front of you? Life moves at a frantic pace, often leaving our schedules with zero margin for what matters most. Walking through the powerful story of the Shunammite woman in 2 Kings 4, we discover the life-changing impact of making room for God, truly seeing others, and opening our hearts through radical hospitality. Step back, create space, and listen to the Holy Spirit's nudge in your routine. #Faith #Hospitality #SpiritualGrowth #BibleStudy #ChristianLiving #MakingRoom #GodsPlan
FAITHWORK ASSIGNMENT:
Take intentional time to examine your daily habits and calendar to ensure you are creating real space for God. Identify one regular commitment or distraction that fills your schedule, and deliberately surrender that time to seek His will instead of your own agenda. Look closely at the people God places in your daily path—whether family, neighbors, or colleagues—and choose to slow down and truly see their needs rather than rushing past them. Finally, step out in active generosity by rearranging your plans or resources to serve someone else, trusting that opening your life allows God to do His greatest work.
