Solely Sermons | How To Find Real Belonging In A Lonely World #belonging #relationships #sermon
April 12, 2026 • James Wilson Jr. • Acts 2:42–47
Sermon Series: Real Relationships
Sermon: Who's at the Table?
Scripture: Acts 2:42-47
Preacher: James Wilson Jr.
We are more connected than ever, yet many still feel deeply alone. Real relationships require more than just passing interactions and surface-level chats. Discover how slowing down and pulling up a seat at the table can transform isolation into genuine belonging. By embracing a messy, imperfect community, we open ourselves up to God's profound healing and spiritual formation. Pull up a chair and discover the life-changing power of shared life. #Community #SpiritualGrowth #Belonging
FAITHWORK ASSIGNMENT
Reflect on the idea that true community requires slowing down to share life and letting the Spirit form you, rather than just passively taking in information. Ask yourself who you are making room for at your table in your daily life. Gathering with messy, imperfect people often reveals your own flaws, but it also opens the door to God's deep healing. Consider if you will stay at the table when relationships get uncomfortable. Remember that when grace becomes visible in your actions, others naturally want to pull up a chair and join the family. Take time to think about how your life is showing His grace to those who feel left out.

Heart Disease - The Deadly Inner World of Sin
Since the early centuries of the church certain sins have come to be known as deadly. These persistent and pernicious behaviors, while not listed as a group in scripture, have a resonance and application that are timeless. Lust, greed, envy, pride, sloth, wrath, gluttony continue to haunt the life of God’s people throughout the ages. This Lent we want to look at the attitudes that orient us toward these destructive behaviors, and how we as Christians can move beyond these to health. We need to have a heart checkup.

Overcome Envy with the Two Tracks of Kindness
March 29, 2026 • J.C. Fowler
Envy says: that’s not fair.
Kindness says: how can I respond?
Two tracks:
Track 1 → See someone’s hardship… and step in to help.
Track 2 → Recognize your blessing… and choose to share.
Envy resents. Kindness responds.
One closes your hands. The other opens your life.
So when that voice whispers “that’s not fair…”
let it lead you somewhere better.
Choose kindness.

Jesus' Miracle of Abundance Revealed!
March 29, 2026 • J.C. Fowler
Abundant love...
The kind Jesus showed when He fed thousands—taking what seemed small and turning it into more than enough. That’s how He loves you. Not because you earned it. Not because you deserve it. But because He is good. His love multiplies. His grace overflows. His kindness has no end. So this Holy Week—lay down envy, receive His love, and live from abundance.

Have you ever felt threatened by someone else's success? Explore the stark contrast between the joyful crowds welcoming Jesus into Jerusalem and the deep envy of the religious leaders. Envy tells us that God's blessings are a zero-sum game, but true kindness recognizes the endless abundance of His grace. Discover how resting in God's boundless love can replace jealousy with genuine peace. Tune in to uncover the antidote to envy and transform your heart. #PalmSunday #ChristianFaith #AbundantGrace
FAITHWORK ASSIGNMENT
Take time to reflect on the humble nature of Jesus and how His arrival challenges your personal expectations of God. Examine your own heart for signs of envy, specifically looking at whether you naturally resent the blessings of others or actively work for their good. Practice true kindness by finding ways to celebrate the success of the people around you. Finally, meditate on the endless abundance of God’s kingdom, reminding yourself that another person's blessing never diminishes yours, and allow His boundless love to bring lasting peace to your mind.

Solely Sermons | The Easy Road | How Can We Overcome Spiritual Laziness? #SpiritualGrowth
March 22, 2026 • Rev. Lindsay Anderson-Beck • Matthew 7:13–14, Proverbs 6:6–11, James 4:17
Sermon Series: Heart Disease - The Deadly Inner World of Sin

Sermon: The Easy Road
Preacher: Rev. Lindsay Anderson-Beck

Sloth is not merely laziness, but a failure to do what is right. Discover how choosing short-term comfort leads to spiritual apathy, and learn how practicing diligence helps build healthy, life-giving habits. Take the harder road that leads to true freedom and peace. #SevenDeadlySins #sloth #OvercomingApathy
FAITHWORK ASSIGNMENT:
Reflect on the reality that sloth is more than just physical laziness; it is the active avoidance of doing what we know is right. Consider where you might be choosing short-term comfort over meaningful action in your own routine. Examine if mindless digital scrolling is masking a deeper spiritual apathy, and ask yourself how this consumption is affecting your relationship with God. Recognize that the antidote to spiritual avoidance is practicing diligence and taking the hard road that leads to life. Spend time identifying the difficult but necessary task God is calling you to tackle, and pray for His Holy Spirit to give you the strength to take the first step.

Scripture: Matthew 7:13-14

Preacher: Rev. Lindsay Anderson-Beck

Focus on Good: Watch Your Whole Life Improve Instantly!
March 15, 2026 • Rev. Dr Stephen Heinzel-Nelson
You’re not as stuck as you think.
That pull toward things you know aren’t good for you? It doesn’t have to control you.
When you start shifting your focus—toward what’s healthy, what’s true, what actually gives life—something changes. Not overnight, but steadily. And in those moments where you decide, “I’m not going there… not doing that… not becoming that”— you’re not doing it alone. There’s a strength that meets you right in your weakness. And it’s more real than you think.

March 15, 2026 • Rev. Dr Stephen Heinzel-Nelson

Our deepest cravings are often warning signs of a misdirected heart. Natural desires are a gift from God, but they become destructive when they turn into unhealthy obsessions. Exploring the roots of lust reveals how easily our hungers can be twisted. By recognizing red flags, establishing firm boundaries, and refocusing the mind on what is pure, true contentment becomes possible. Join us to align your deepest longings with His design. #OvercomingTemptation #SpiritualGrowth #ChristianLiving
FAITHWORK ASSIGNMENT
Take time to examine how God gave us natural and healthy desires, but lust misdirects those hungers toward the wrong things, and ask yourself what desires in your life might be pointing you away from Him. Since spiritual warning signs often appear before small compromises turn into destructive habits, consider if you are ignoring any red flags in your daily choices. Because overcoming temptation requires restraining negative influences and redirecting our minds toward what is pure, think about how you can set better boundaries to protect your heart.
