Rooted In Solitude | St. Albert Alliance May 7, 2023 Sermon

May 7, 2023 • Kirk Cowman

Is there a practice, pattern, or habit that you engage in helps you live life to the fullest? In the Gospels we discover Jesus’ modelling practices that helped in the ups and downs of life when people were for him and against him. One of the practices that Jesus models is the practice of solitude. Jesus consistently withdrew to solitary places to be with the Father and root his identity in what the Father said, not what the crowd said. Everything Jesus did flowed out of his solitude with God. If solitude helped Jesus, I wonder if it might help us as well to begin practicing the way of solitude with God?

Experiencing Wholeness | St. Albert Alliance June 25, 2023 Sermon

June 25, 2023 • Kirk Cowman

Have you ever repeatedly walked past something broken and wondered when it would get fixed? It could be a door, a window, or it could be a person. There is brokenness all around us and in us. In the New Testament, we read about Jesus healing and delivering people from spiritual, physical and relational brokenness; Jesus exchanges brokenness for wholeness. Do you ever wish that Jesus would do that or you? Jesus is still offering wholeness. Jesus sees our brokenness and wants to make us whole today. As we continue our series, The Way, we are going to discover the practice of experiencing wholeness—letting Jesus take what is broken in us and around us and make it whole. Join us this Sunday and discover that Jesus is for the whole person. He’s for all of you.

June 18, 2023 • Mike Sotski

We often find our lives dictated by our calendars. Meetings, places to go, and things to do often create a rush in our lives that allow little margin for disruption, and yet, we all know those disruptions will come. We often see these disruptions as nuisances because we have a schedule to keep. But what if we began to see these disruptions as opportunities? Join us as we look at how Jesus saw disruption as an opportunity to reveal mercy and see those around him.
