Last week Pastor Lisa talked about being intentionally available to the Spirit so that God can use us to reach the people in the places where we live, work and play. If we make ourselves intentionally available, we will discover a very inconvenient, costly, and risky truth. To be intentionally available to the Spirit means making sacrifices. Jesus practiced a way of living that was marked by sacrificial service. Join us as we look at Matthew 14:13-21 and three reasons why we may not want to be intentionally available and sacrificially serve and one reason why it is completely worth the inconvenience, cost and risk.

Have you ever repeatedly walked past something broken and wondered when it would get fixed? It could be a door, a window, or it could be a person. There is brokenness all around us and in us. In the New Testament, we read about Jesus healing and delivering people from spiritual, physical and relational brokenness; Jesus exchanges brokenness for wholeness. Do you ever wish that Jesus would do that or you? Jesus is still offering wholeness. Jesus sees our brokenness and wants to make us whole today. As we continue our series, The Way, we are going to discover the practice of experiencing wholeness—letting Jesus take what is broken in us and around us and make it whole. We often see these disruptions as nuisances because we have a schedule to keep. But what if we began to see these disruptions as opportunities?
