There is a lot of confusion out there about God’s demands for holiness. On the one hand, we have people who seem to think that we need to purchase a ticket to Heaven by doing lots of good works. On the other extreme, we have people who claim to be Christians but live lives of sin and license, claiming that none of the moral rules of the Bible apply to them. And then somewhere in the middle, there is honest debate. Where is the line between holiness and self-righteousness?
