Pastor Paul continues a new series looking at the book of First John. Last week he looked at some of the background information of the book. To whom it was addressed, what the world of their day looked like, what challenges they faced. Today Pastor Paul continues with that discussion, showing us the similarities between the believers then and now. Just as with the believers that the Apostle was writing to, Christians today are being pressured to give up their convictions as Christians to live like the world around them.

They were being pressured to give up their convictions as Christians to live like the world around them. We had not planned it this way, but as things begin to normalize in Puerto Rico after Hurricane María, what better time to remind ourselves to serve Christ first in good times as well as bad?
