Do I fully believe that my life is a gift and offering that God both desires and deserves? If you feel inferior, insignificant, or unworthy, be reminded that Jesus came at Christmas to live the life that would be given for YOU.

PRAYER POINT

"Father, thank You for the gift of Jesus. Thank You for the gift of life and new life in Christ. Thank You for the grace to give myself more fully to God’s plans and purposes for my life. You are worthy of all I am and all I have. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen."

GOING DEEPER

Read and study Romans Chapter 6.

Decide or rededicate yourself today to give your life to the Lord, not just as a one time salvation decision, but as an ongoing way to give back to God for all He has given you through Christ.

Consider encouraging someone that the God of the whole universe eagerly desires a personal relationship with them.

MINISTRY MOMENT Have you found it difficult in the past to wait for something patiently? Are you in a season right now where you are struggling to wait for a gift, dream, or promise? PRAYER POINT "Father, thank You that YOU have an amazing plan and purpose for my life. I recognize that You are the one and only perfect gift-giver. You give us blessings in Your perfect time and way. Help me to trust You and wait patiently. In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen!" GOING DEEPER Read and study Matthew 7:11, Hebrews 11:6, and Romans 8:25. WALK IT OUT The truth is that we won’t have to wait long for new opportunities that will help stretch our patience. The next time you find yourself struggling to wait patiently, bring those burdens to the Lord in prayer and worship. SHARE WITH OTHERS As much as we each struggle with patience at times, we can know that our friends and family will also struggle in this area. Look for ways to encourage those around you with the Biblical approach to waiting patiently.

Ep. 421 - Seasons of Waiting

MINISTRY MOMENT Luke 3:23 informs us that Jesus was roughly 30 years old when He began public ministry. I want you to think about that for a moment. That means for 30 years of Jesus' life, He wasn’t “doing” the work of the ministry He was literally sent to the earth to accomplish. In fact, in the Gospels, Jesus was referred to as “the carpenter”, or “the carpenter’s son”, long before He was ever called Lord and Savior. Was this season of Jesus' life a waste? Did He miss the calling of God when He was a teenager and decided to follow in His earthly father’s footsteps and become a carpenter? Not at all! What we see throughout scripture is God molding and shaping His people through seasons of preparation and positioning. PRAYER POINT “Father, I thank You for the season of preparation and positioning You have me in. Help me keep my eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of my faith. Lead me in this season, so I can be even more faithful and fruitful in the future. In Jesus’ name, Amen.” GOING DEEPER What other stories of preparation can you find in the Bible. Think about Moses, Joshua, Gideon, etc. WALK IT OUT What practical steps can you take to stay focused in this season of preparation?
