Murder Mill Closed in Tulsa

Today many gathered outside of Tulsa Women’s Clinic, where babies used to be murdered. Tammy Brown brought a sign that read “BABIES WERE MURDERED HERE.” No longer. Though abortion is not yet abolished in Oklahoma, because there is no law protecting children from self-managed abortions, we still praise God for shutting down this murder mill. Press on, saints. Abortion is murder. Christ is King. May we act like it. “For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.” 1 Corinthians 15:25
Value Them Both FAILED in Kansas

Value Them Both failed in Kansas. This is good, long term, for justice on behalf of the preborn in this state. The VTB Amendment would have, in the name of saving as many babies as we can, made it unconstitutional to abolish abortion as murder in Kansas. Therefore, in the end, VTB would have led to much more blood being shed while most pro-lifers would have been ignorant to the fact for some time. Why? Because the Pro-Life Movement would have touted this as a great victory, and likely deceived many through it, while babies would still be murdered under cover of law. More than that, it is a good thing that VTB failed because it is immoral to vote for the right to regulate murder like it is healthcare. We must not regulate homicide; we must criminalize it, period. The same homicide laws that protect you should protect all image bearers of God from the moment of fertilization until natural death. We must be Christ-centered, not humanistic; Bible-believing, Bible-speaking, and Bible-obeying, not secular; Church-driven, not para church abdicating; Justice seekers, not compromisers; and we must trust the Lord’s providence, not man’s pragmatism. “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked." Psalm 82:2-4 Press on. There is good work to be done and Christ is King. Soli Deo Gloria.
Europeans and Americans During A Holocaust

After ministering at the Mill yesterday with other brothers in Christ, Mickey and I went to the Holocaust Museum. It was both heavy and ironic. Heavy because of the atrocities the Nazi’s did to Jews, Polish, and Gypsies. Ironic because we are doing the same kind of atrocities to the preborn in our country, except on a much larger and more sinisterly systematic scale. On a sign titled Bystanders, this was written: “The great majority of Europeans during the period of the Holocaust were neither killers nor victims. But whether or not they were involved in the ongoing genocide or understood the full extent of the "Final Solution," most could observe small events forming part of the catastrophe as it unfolded in their own communities. In France, the existence of numerous detention camps for Jewish refugees--many established even before the German conquest--was known to the public. In eastern Europe, Poles watched as ghettos for Jews were filled with deportees from foreign countries and nearby towns and villages. Like citizens of the Soviet and Baltic republics, Poles knew about the massacres taking place in nearby forests. From 1933 on, Germans watched in silence as their Jewish neighbors were isolated, dispossessed, and deported for “resettlement in the East.” Some bystanders sought to exploit the situation of the Jews for personal gain, but most merely stood by, neither collaborating nor coming to the aid of the victims. This passivity amounted to acquiescence, and the planners and executors of the "Final Solution" counted on bystanders" not intervening in the process of genocide.” Outside of the Museum, this is written in stone: “Out of our memory of the holocaust we must forge an unshakable oath with all civilized people that never again will the world stand silent. Never again will the world fail to act in time to prevent this terrible crime of genocide. We must harness the outrage of our own memories to stamp out oppression where ever it exists. We must understand that human rights and human dignity are indivisible.” These are just words. Apply it to the 60+ million babies in the womb. Babies who are murdered up until and after birth in DC. God, grant repentance to us who have sat by silently like those Europeans. Wake up your people to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. Equip us with your Law and Gospel, and empower us by your Spirit, to tear down these High Places! “Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause. "Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be eaten by the sword; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken." Isaiah 1:16-20
I praise God for burning down straw-men and revealing SCOTUS idolatry

I praise God today! Roe is overturned. To be more specific, I praise God that one of the straw-man arguments the Pro Life Movement has used to argue against abolition has just been burned to the ground. Roe was never law. Roe should have been nullified, as is the right of every State when the Federal Government enforces upon us something unconstitutional. Another thing I celebrate today is the exposure of idolatry to the Supreme Court. SCOTUS’s decision should have been nullified instead of bowed down to. And it is as if many are now saying, “SCOTUS is a generous god to now allow the States to decide whether or not babies can be murdered.” SCOTUS is not the Supreme Being, but they have been treated as such by many to our shame. On another note, as we celebrate the burning down of this straw-man, we must remember that Roe v. Wade being overturned does nothing in itself to provide equal protection to any image bearer. All SCOTUS did was replace their wicked decision with another one. Though it is less egregious to say “you decide if babies can be murdered in your State” (Dobbs) than it was to say, “you must allow babies to be murdered in your State,” (Roe) it is still a wicked decision. SCOTUS’s job is to say “The Constitution is clear that none shall be deprived the right to life without due process. Therefore, no State has the right to allow or regulate abortion.” Instead of doing that, they punted to the States and said, “The right to abortion is nowhere in the Constitution.” No kidding! The exact opposite is in the Constitution, but instead of saying that they withheld justice yet again from the preborn. While some states may use this to stop the killing of children, the fact remains: babies will continue to be murdered in many states under cover of law. Why will the Supreme Court not affirm equal protection of life? We must keep laboring state by state to protect all image bearers from murder by providing equal protection under law. That is what love and justice looks like. The straw-man of Roe is burned down. The next straw-man that needs to be burned down is the false narrative that says “Women are victims.” Do not rest in this fight until the law is applied equally to all image bearers, therefore abolishing abortion without exception or compromise. We are not there yet, but one day we will be. I praise God for that! “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.” Isaiah 9:6-7
What would you want for Jesus if He was in the womb?

“When the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons” (Galatians 4:4). As it has been said, “The Son of God became the Son of man so that the sons of men would become the sons of God!” Christ entered the world in His incarnation through the womb of Mary; He did this to redeem His people! Did He enter the world through the womb of Mary to redeem you? Praise the Lord! Oh please hear me, saints: This place—the womb—is exactly where many are murdering children today. 60+ million reported child-murders, which we have politely labeled ‘abortion,’ in the United States alone since 1973, and all this has been done under cover of law. That is 60 million too many. Are you grateful to be protected by the homicide laws in your State; are you grateful there is not a certain class of people that can murder you with impunity? What would you want the bride of Christ to do if it were civilly legal to murder you? What would you want done for you if you were being taken to a place called a “clinic” to be terminated unjustly? Hear the Word of the God from Galatians 5:14: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Even your preborn neighbors! Are you celebrating laws that the Pro-Life lobby is pushing and passing? laws that, in the end, simply tell people when, where, how, and why they can murder their children? Laws that say, “you cannot kill a baby ‘this’ way, but you can kill a baby ‘this’ way? laws that justify the wicked and condemn the righteous by not providing equal protection under law? Hear the Scripture from Proverbs 17:15 “He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the Lord.” Are you celebrating laws that show partiality to the mothers by giving them immunity from criminal charges even when they murder their little boy or girl in their womb? Hear the Word of the Lord in Psalm 82:2-4: “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked." Last week, 70+ Pro-Life organizations issued a letter AGAINST equal protection of image bearers in the womb, because they believe the woman who hires a hitman to terminate her child is a victim. These 70+ Pro-Life organizations were instrumental in keeping abortion legal in Louisiana in 2022. Beloved, abortion must not be regulated. We must stop regulating the murder of image bearers of God! Abortion must be abolished immediately, without exception or compromise, by applying the same homicide code that applies to you and me to all image bearers. And hear me: It is a fallacy to say that incrementally regulating abortion like it is healthcare is taking steps toward abolishing abortion like it is murder. That is a lie! We do not need to kick the ball down the field; we need to establish justice for our neighbors. It has been fourth down every day for almost 50 years, and babies have been slaughtered 7 days a week. We must rise up as the church of Jesus Christ and do unto our pre-born neighbors as we would want done to us! There is forgiveness for the sin of abortion in Christ, but that does not mean it ought to be legal! Dear Christians, I plead with you to consider this: Actions speak louder than words. We can claim to believe that preborn babies are persons, but until we are willing to act like it, we will not abolish abortion. CONCLUSION: What would you do if Christ were that baby in the womb? Hear the word of Christ from Matthew 25:45 “‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’” Whatever protections you would demand for preborn Jesus in Mary’s womb, you must also demand for your preborn neighbors in their mother’s womb.

LEGISLATIVE WORKSHOP: Brett and Daniel

GOALS 1) Preparedness. 2) Confidence. UNDERSTANDING WHERE WE ARE AND WHERE WE WILL BE NEXT LEGISLATIVE SESSION 1) Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (15-week threshold). 2) Oklahoma SB612 (Felony/$100k Fine) 3) Oklahoma SB1503 (Texas Style/Heartbeat/Life of Mother Exception/Does not prohibit Abortifacients/Women held harmless). THE SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES BASICALLY HAS THREE CHOICES 1) Rule Abortion unconstitutional 2) Provide States with regulative authority (highest probability) 3) Impose arbitrary 15-week threshold (Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization) Oklahoma will be left with SB612 if Supreme Court “kicks-down” regulative authority to states. Oklahoma will be left with SB1503 if Supreme Court imposes 15-week threshold or takes no action. In either case, Oklahoma will not criminalize self-induced abortions (abortifacients, cases of physical harm), and abortion will be deemed a felony, not murder (unequal parity of law). SPEAKING WITH LEGISLATORS 1) Give honor to those who are in positions of authority. “Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed” (Romans 13:7). “Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor” (1 Peter 2:17). 2) We must know our material well and communicate it with grace. “Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature” (1 Corinthians 14:20). God says we are to be “speaking the truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15). 3) Be clear as to the purpose of the meeting (e.g. conversation about Abolition, co-sign or author legislation). 4) Lead the conversation. 5) Be willing to be flexible in the conversation. e.g. If the person does not know or yet understand abolition, the main priority is education rather than to ask them at that time to author/co-author a bill. e.g. If the conversation seems to be getting contentious, do not press too hard. Thank them for meeting and see if you can leave them resources. 6) Don’t hesitate to ask questions (e.g. legislators’ perspective on Abolition and their concerns) 7) Be sympathetic to Legislators concerns (they may actually be well-intentioned and not know any better). WHAT TO DO BEFORE YOU MEET WITH A LEGISLATOR 1) Pray for humility. 2) Find out their prior experience with abortion legislation (reach out to Daniel Chepkauskas or Rescue Those or Free the States). *Legislators who continually author pro-life legislation are much more prone to pride. 3) Make sure you understand this is not a speech, this is a conversation. 4) Understand the arguments leveled against abolition (e.g. one of many avenues, hurts conservative index score). 5) Understand the arguments leveled against abolitionists (e.g. Abolitionists don’t understand the legislative process). HOW TO ORGANIZE YOUR LEGISLATIVE MINISTRY TEAM 1) Choose team leader; team leader will initiate and primarily lead conversation. 2) It can become overwhelming if more than one person is talking at a time. 3) Team leader should have best grasp of material and communicate well. 4) Other members of team help assist team leader during the conversation (e.g. additional information, examples). COMMON OBJECTIONS “I’m only one legislator” “We won’t be successful” The intention of ‘Pro-Life’ laws is to save lives. What’s wrong with incremental regulation of abortion? “The Supreme Court won’t allow it” “Abolition seeks to criminalize women” “Abolition provides no exception for rape or incest” “Abolition provides no exception for ‘life of mother’ situations” “This legislation nullifies the U.S Constitution” “If overturned by the courts, this legislation would effectively overturn all other pro-life laws in statute” “Why shouldn’t Oklahoma mirror Texas’ S.B. 8 (Heartbeat Bill) which was left effective by the U.S. Supreme Court?”
