Season: Part 3

This week, Solomon will test his heart by indulging in every form of pleasure available to see whether there is any satisfaction to be found in them. What he discovers will provide insight into the folly of selfish indulgence vs. living a life of generosity toward others. Through his experience, we can gain wisdom in how to ensure our earthly pursuits are aligned to God's will.

Time is Seasonal

We've come to that famous passage in our Ecclesiastes studies that nearly everyone has heard of at one time or another. A certain familiar tune might even be running through your mind. "To every thing -- turn, turn, turn -- there is a season -- turn, turn, turn . . ." By now, we all recognize that life is a series of seasons. As we celebrate our moms this Mother’s Day, we will reflect on the various seasons of not only a mother’s life, but those that affect families and individuals as well, and we will see that God has ordained them all.
