Authentic Conversations: Rejoice Always: Joy Conquers All Circumstances
November 27, 2024 • Pastor Jason Potter, Pastor Brittany Potter
In this week’s Authentic Conversations Pastor Jason and Pastor Brittany discuss his message “Rejoice Always: Joy Conquers All Circumstances.” As Christians we understand there is a difference between happiness and joy. One person said that happiness is based on happenings, joy is based on relationship. Life is not about happiness, it’s about joy.
We must daily be intentional about rejoicing, remembering that every day we are given is a gift from God. Each of us will experience emotions, yet our joy is not based on how we feel, but our relationship with Christ Jesus. Paul said I press towards the prize, we press towards being with Jesus. Our joy reminds us, no matter what we face, we will spend eternity with our Savior in Heaven.
Rejoice Always (How Joy Conquers Every Circumstance)
November 24, 2024 • Pastor Jason Potter
In this message Pastor Jason reminds us to “Rejoice Always (How Joy Conquers Every Circumstance).” Rejoicing is not dependent on circumstances, it’s a response to Who God is and what He has done. Happiness is based on happenings, joy is based on a relationship. There are practical steps we can take to maintain our joy in every situation.
When we start our day with prayer and thanksgiving it causes us to focus on the joy that lies before us. Replacing anxiety with scriptures will help us change our perspective. Finally we can foster joyful community through fellowship. We will experience challenges in this life, but no matter what we face, we can do so with joy because of Christ.
Authentic Conversations: Possess Your Promised Land
November 20, 2024 • Pastor Jason Potter, Pastor Brittany Potter
In this week’s Authentic Conversations Pastor Jason and Pastor Brittany discuss her message “Possess Your Promised Land.” As followers of Christ strongholds can break today. A stronghold is something that has a grip on you. It’s a lie that is you have believed, which is so entrenched, you will defend it. Israel allowed an evil influence to remain, which went from ensnaring to enslaving.
Our land is our lives which God gave us to bless and be a witness for God. He has called us to drive out some things, and to set boundaries. What are gray areas in our lives, or things that are already altars we must tear down? We cannot allow our children to be raised in a home with a negative influence. We can overcome any stronghold, build a deeper relationship closer with God, and become a force to be reckoned with.
