Message #94 - PNEUMATOLOGY - The Person & Work of the Holy Spirit (Part 23)

The Work of the Holy Spirit [Part F - The Fruit of the Holy Spirit #3 Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentle

November 26, 2023 • Pastor Mark Geer • Galatians 5:16–26

Today we continue our Systematic Theology Series and the study of Pneumatology ~ which is the study of the Holy Spirit of God.

Pastor Mark Geer brings to a close a three-part message on the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. One of the most powerful pieces of evidence of the indwelling Spirit of God in the lives of believers is the character of Christ being formed in us, including love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Previously, we introduce the Fruit of the Spirit and contrast it to the works of the flesh listed in Galatians 5:16-26, before examining the first element of the Fruit of the Spirit which is the productivity of love.  And last week we examined the next four elements of the Fruit of the Spirit, including Joy, Peace, Longsuffering and Kindness.

Now today, in our final message, we examine the last four elements of the Fruit of the Spirit, which include Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control. These elements are a product of the character of Christ manifested in our lives by the indwelling Holy Spirit. They produce of rich life of wholesome quality and noble character impacting our daily lives, marriage, family and relationships, as well as producing inner tranquility and abundant joy.

Our desire for this broader study of Systematic Theology for Daily Living is to take a practical look at the study of God and various elements of biblical and spiritual truth which are designed to help us all understand God and draw us nearer to Him as our Creator and to Jesus Christ as our Savior.

Message #106 - ECCLESIOLOGY - The Doctrine of the New Testament Church (Part 12)

April 28, 2024 • Pastor Mark Geer • Revelation 1:6, Mark 16:15, Matthew 24:4–14, 1 Timothy 4:1–3, Revelation 20:4–6

Today we pick up our Systematic Theology Series once again and continue our study of the topic of Ecclesiology ~ the study of the New Testament Church.   Pastor Mark Geer continues our examination of the purpose of the church with a look at “It’s Destiny” ~ how in spite of our greatest evangelistic efforts, the church will not convert the world. There will always be, according to Scripture, a large portion of humanity who will reject the gospel and Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It’s heartbreaking, but true. It rattles our emotions, invigorates our spirits, spurs us on to greater evangelism, and motivates us for a passionate pursuit of sharing the gospel to the ends of the earth! And this is good, right and noble. It is obedience to our calling. But in the end, the truth remains, the Church will not convert the entire world.   Nevertheless, the Church will occupy a place of blessing and honor in the world to come. God has great plans for His Bride and has prepared a wonderful destiny and future for those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. May this message motivate you for daily service in the work of the kingdom. Do not lose heart! And look to your destiny as a child of God and a part of the Church of Jesus.   Our desire for this broader study of Systematic Theology for Daily Living is to take a practical look at the study of God and various elements of biblical and spiritual truth which are designed to help us all understand God and draw us nearer to Him as our Creator and to Jesus Christ as our Savior.
