Message #106 - ECCLESIOLOGY - The Doctrine of the New Testament Church (Part 12)

The Purpose of the Church [Part C - Its Destiny: The Church Will Not Convert the World; But Will Hav

April 28, 2024 • Pastor Mark Geer • Revelation 1:6, Mark 16:15, Matthew 24:4–14, 1 Timothy 4:1–3, Revelation 20:4–6

Today we pick up our Systematic Theology Series once again and continue our study of the topic of Ecclesiology ~ the study of the New Testament Church.

Pastor Mark Geer continues our examination of the purpose of the church with a look at “It’s Destiny” ~ how in spite of our greatest evangelistic efforts, the church will not convert the world. There will always be, according to Scripture, a large portion of humanity who will reject the gospel and Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It’s heartbreaking, but true. It rattles our emotions, invigorates our spirits, spurs us on to greater evangelism, and motivates us for a passionate pursuit of sharing the gospel to the ends of the earth! And this is good, right and noble. It is obedience to our calling. But in the end, the truth remains, the Church will not convert the entire world.

Nevertheless, the Church will occupy a place of blessing and honor in the world to come. God has great plans for His Bride and has prepared a wonderful destiny and future for those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. May this message motivate you for daily service in the work of the kingdom. Do not lose heart! And look to your destiny as a child of God and a part of the Church of Jesus.

Our desire for this broader study of Systematic Theology for Daily Living is to take a practical look at the study of God and various elements of biblical and spiritual truth which are designed to help us all understand God and draw us nearer to Him as our Creator and to Jesus Christ as our Savior.

Message #108 - ECCLESIOLOGY - The Doctrine of the New Testament Church (Part 14)

May 12, 2024 • Pastor Mark Geer • Joel 2:28–29, Acts 2:16–18, Acts 9:36–43, Acts 21:8–9, Romans 16:1–16

Today we continue our Systematic Theology Series and our study of the topic of Ecclesiology ~ the study of the New Testament Church. In today’s message Pastor Mark Geer addresses the role of women in the church with a historic look at the Pentecostal Movement, the Assemblies of God position on ordaining women in ministry, and many Biblical examples of women whom God used in Scripture, in both the Old and New Testaments, who served faithfully in ministry and leadership positions in Israel and also the New Testament Church.       While the matters are complex and not everyone agrees, it is with painstaking patience, love and grace, as well as an open mind and a humble spirit that we seek to address the role of women in the church and ministry, while extending grace to both those women who feel called to ministry and those who hold to a different view than the Assemblies of God.    Our desire for this broader study of Systematic Theology for Daily Living is to take a practical look at the study of God and various elements of biblical and spiritual truth which are designed to help us all understand God and draw us nearer to Him as our Creator and to Jesus Christ as our Savior.
