Message #99 - ECCLESIOLOGY - The Doctrine of the New Testament Church (Part 5)

The Nature of the Church [Part C- It’s Character: Israel, Kingdom & Metaphors - Part 1]

February 11, 2024 • Pastor Mark Geer • Luke 17:20–21, Ephesians 2:11–18, Ephesians 3:14, Ephesians 5:22–33, Romans 11

Our message today continues our Systematic Theology Series with a study of Ecclesiology ~ the study of the Doctrine of the New Testament Church.

As we continue to examine the nature of the Church and it’s character we answer in today’s message a few additional important questions:

1) Is the Church the same as the nation of Israel? Has it replaced Israel? Is it the “New Israel”?

2) Is the Church the same as the Kingdom of God? Or is it a part of the Kingdom of God? And by the way, “What is the Kingdom of God?”

3) What types of metaphors does the Bible use to describe the Church and why is it important for us to know about these examples?

Hopefully you will find satisfactory answers to these questions in today’s message and discover that the Church is a unique and special creation of God that you can be a part of through accepting Jesus as

Our desire for this broader study of Systematic Theology for Daily Living is to take a practical look at the study of God and various elements of biblical and spiritual truth which are designed to help us all understand God and draw us nearer to Him as our Creator and to Jesus Christ as our Savior.

Message #106 - ECCLESIOLOGY - The Doctrine of the New Testament Church (Part 12)

April 28, 2024 • Pastor Mark Geer • Revelation 1:6, Mark 16:15, Matthew 24:4–14, 1 Timothy 4:1–3, Revelation 20:4–6

Today we pick up our Systematic Theology Series once again and continue our study of the topic of Ecclesiology ~ the study of the New Testament Church.   Pastor Mark Geer continues our examination of the purpose of the church with a look at “It’s Destiny” ~ how in spite of our greatest evangelistic efforts, the church will not convert the world. There will always be, according to Scripture, a large portion of humanity who will reject the gospel and Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It’s heartbreaking, but true. It rattles our emotions, invigorates our spirits, spurs us on to greater evangelism, and motivates us for a passionate pursuit of sharing the gospel to the ends of the earth! And this is good, right and noble. It is obedience to our calling. But in the end, the truth remains, the Church will not convert the entire world.   Nevertheless, the Church will occupy a place of blessing and honor in the world to come. God has great plans for His Bride and has prepared a wonderful destiny and future for those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. May this message motivate you for daily service in the work of the kingdom. Do not lose heart! And look to your destiny as a child of God and a part of the Church of Jesus.   Our desire for this broader study of Systematic Theology for Daily Living is to take a practical look at the study of God and various elements of biblical and spiritual truth which are designed to help us all understand God and draw us nearer to Him as our Creator and to Jesus Christ as our Savior.
