When Ruth came to his field in search of favor, Boaz gave it to her above and beyond anything she could have imagined. He was the tangible embodiment of God's grace and kindness to Ruth and Naomi. Boaz doesn't just serve as a model of godly living, he also points us to the ultimate embodiment of God's grace, Jesus Christ.

Ruth 4:1-22 – Redemption

In Ruth 4, Boaz goes to the town gate to publicly redeem Ruth. Because Boaz redeemed Ruth, she ended up with a life far beyond what she could imagine – even becoming the great grandmother of King David and landing in the lineage of Jesus Christ! As we see the sacrifices Boaz made for Ruth and his public pursuit of her, we are reminded of how Christ has redeemed us!
