Second Timothy Chapter 1 part 1

Baruch Korman • 2 Timothy 1:1–11

Paul had a special appreciation, a deep and abiding love for a young man by the name of Timothy. Last week, we completed his first epistle to this young man and to save it. We're going to begin his second epistle, Second Timothy and chapter one. And in this first section of chapter one, Paul reveals to us much truth, very practical truth to impact our life and give us a right perspective

Second Timothy Chapter 1 part 2

Baruch Korman • 2 Timothy 1:11–18

there is a consistency with God, we can depend upon the word of God, God will do exactly as his word reveals. And if we are individuals that want to be thought of as faithful, we are going to take hold of his word, both His written Word and His personal word to us. That is his plan. His purpose is for life. And we're going to submit to these things joyfully, and also confidently, that They are the very best for us. Knowing that God loves us, He demonstrated that love and whatever he would have us to do, whatever experience that he would have us to go through, it is proper to submit to these things, we will never have any regret, we will never be disappointed when we say yes to God.

Second Timothy Chapter 2 part 1

Baruch Korman • 2 Timothy 2:1–13

We want to be individuals that have a testimony that demonstrates the power of God, and not just the power of God, but the wisdom of God in our life. That we are an instrument that manifests truth in what we say and what we do. And in a very similar way, we see the apostle Paul, that he was instructing, ministering edifying, this young man, Timothy, because Paul knew that God wanted to use him, he knew that God was setting him apart for an IT position, a work that would bring about much fruit throughout Asia Minor. And therefore, Paul had discernment. And we should be praying as well, for similar discernment, that we would understand what God is up to, and that we would participate obediently with where the Spirit of God is moving and directing.

Second Timothy 2 part 2

Baruch Korman • 2 Timothy 2:14–26

Timothy knew the call that God had placed upon him, he knew that God was placing him in leadership, that he might grow and mature other individuals that they might do the same thing that he was called to do. And that was to be a godly influence in the life of others, training them discipling them that they might grow as well and become useful to God. So ask yourself a question. Are you useful to God? What have you done this past week? Since we gathered last week? What have you done? In order to demonstrate fruit? What good deeds? What purposes from God? Have you received and carried out? We need to be people that are doing the Lord's will.

Second Timothy 3 part 1

Baruch Korman • 2 Timothy 3:1–9

Well, there's no question that to save money. When Paul speaks and instructs Timothy, there is a great connection between his words and the last days. And Paul, once Timothy, who lives so long ago, but nevertheless, to the displaying that conduct that we need to be displaying, if we should be that generation, that generation that sees the fulfillment of what the prophets spoke of. And that is the various events that must happen for the kingdom of God to be establish. And here, make no mistake about it. We do not see the world being perfected by the body of believers, by the congregation of redeemed by the church, we do not see an improvement, but biblically, and this is what we have to rely upon the testimony of Scripture, we see that this world is going to get more ungodly

Second Timothy Chapter 3 part 2

Baruch Korman • 2 Timothy 3:10–17

The apostle Paul had a testimony, a testimony that spoke to two things. First, Paul's faithfulness, he received the faithfulness of God and that faithfulness was displayed in his life, through his behavior through his words. And then the second thing that we can be assured of is that when we behave in faith, we are going to be rejected by this world. And Paul is going to teach us that this is something that is going to get worse, we've seen this, in our previous study of this same chapter, it's going to get worse and not better in the last days. And therefore perseverance, patience, being someone who's willing to suffer or long. All of these are the characteristics of a true believer, and Paul, once young Timothy, to know this truth, and to apply it to his life, that he too, has a testimony, a god pleasing testimony. And obviously, we are studying it tonight in order that we too, can live in a manner that is pleasing to our Lord and Savior, that honors his name. And that demonstrates our covenant or relationship with Him.

Second Timothy 4 Part 1

Baruch Korman • 2 Timothy 4:1–8

Paul has been been writing to Timothy several chapters in his first epistle. Now, we've entered into the last chapter of his second epistle, chapter four, and Paul know something, he knows that he is coming to the end of his life. And therefore he is imparting to Timothy a type of of legacy. He is giving him a will, so to speak of important things that he wants to leave and instill in the Life of Timothy. So we're going to see much wisdom for living a God centered life, a life centered upon the kingdom of God that we might be found faithful, and that day of judgment.

Second Timothy Chapter 4 Part 2

Baruch Korman • 2 Timothy 4:9–22

Paul is concluding his second epistle, to Timothy. And we're going to see that in these last few verses. He's going to say many things to Timothy, and also about others. And as we go through these things, we're going to see some important principles and give us insight for understanding what is proper, and what is not proper, how to order our life in a way, as Paul did, that demonstrates the authority of the Spirit of God in one's life. So ask yourself, when people see your behavior, your decisions, do they see you submitting to the authority of God? Do you have this type of of witness, one who demonstrates submissiveness in order that you serve God, and where God has positioned you, where he's leading you what he is providing to youth so that you can do Are you faithful doing these things? Paul knows that his life, his ministry, is coming to an end. And I think it's very important what we see him sharing with Timothy, concerning this context.
