This chapter is another step in Joseph's relationship with his brothers. He has forgiven them. But can he reconcile with them? How can he trust them after what they had done to him? We will examine truths you need to observe in people before you ever reconcile with them.

Without dad alive, will Joseph finally take revenge? Will he persecute, perhaps even kill, us for what we have done to him? Joseph's response to his brothers' fears is amazing. It truly shows that he had forgiven them. He not only wished them and their families well, committing to provide for them all their lives (when you bless others who have hurt you, it's a sure sign you've forgiven them), but he pronounces great faith in God's overarching, absolute providence.
