Moving Forward

January 29, 2023 • David Chadwick • Genesis 41:37–57

I wonder if Joseph ever experienced PTSD? Think about all he went through. From a pit where he cried for mercy. To being sold in slavery in Egypt. To being unjustly accused and imprisoned - for 10 years! Yet you never see Joseph complaining. Or claiming victimhood. Continually, you see him marching forward, led by the Holy Spirit, and trusting in God.

Perhaps the reason he was able to move forward is found in the names of his two sons in Egypt. Their names, in my opinion, give the keys for how Joseph overcame any potential PTSD in his life.
