Why is leadership so important? We often hear phrases like “lead by example,” but what does that really look like in everyday life? As Paul says in this letter to the Corinthians about leading, this is the time for Christ-followers to step into the “gaps” of our culture and provide leadership that attracts others to Jesus.
Strength in Weakness
June 2, 2024 • Pastor Mike Maiolo • 1 Corinthians 4:1–13
Strong leadership is a term today that has many definitions. If we believe the Bible has all truth, then the true meaning of leadership is found in the Word of God. In this section of Corinthians, Paul identifies himself and all the leaders with him as “servants.” People today are looking for strong leadership and following God’s definition will bring the greatest impact.
The Root of the Problem
May 26, 2024 • Pastor Scott Kilpatrick • 1 Corinthians 3:18–23
It is always easier to identify the faults and flaws in others than it is to see them in ourselves. Either way, the only effective way to deal with our spiritual shortcomings is to find and address the root of the problem. In this portion of his letter to the Corinthian church, Paul makes it clear that spiritual immaturity and divisiveness in the church are symptoms of some deeply rooted, fundamental problems that need to be corrected. And though Paul is writing to the Corinthian church, he is writing to us as well.

Blueprints of Faith
May 19, 2024 • Pastor Mike Maiolo • 1 Corinthians 3:1–17
When we come to faith in Jesus Christ, most experience a spiritual “mountain top experience,” but the reality is our life cannot remain on the mountain top. It is vital that we learn as followers of Jesus what it means to build our life on a sure foundation and not “mountain top experiences.”
Spiritual Insight
May 5, 2024 • Pastor Mike Maiolo • 1 Corinthians 2:6–16
With all the voices around us today, it is often difficult to discern Godly wisdom from worldly wisdom. For those who follow Jesus, the word of God provides that clarity of knowing the difference, but it’s not just hearing but obeying Him.
Where Wisdom Begins
April 28, 2024 • Pastor Mike Maiolo • 1 Corinthians 2:1–5
Whether we are intentional or not, we all are communicating messages of who we worship by the way we live, which encourages us to examine how we really are living. What and who are we really living for? What is it that gives us a reason to get up in the morning? Paul wrote this letter to the Corinthian believers with the hope that the passion of their life would move from a worldly focus to following the Spirit of God. So, how do we really live by the Spirit of God?
Counter Culture
April 21, 2024 • Pastor Mike Maiolo • 1 Corinthians 1:18–31
Why is it that some people whom we care about cannot see Jesus and the cross for all of its power? Some even see it as foolishness and irrelevant. The Apostle Paul writes this section of 1 Corinthians to remind them of where their focus ought to be, not on human wisdom, but on God. God’s ways are higher than our ways and His power is made perfect in our weakness (Isaiah 55:8-9).
Called to Unity
April 14, 2024 • Pastor Mike Maiolo • 1 Corinthians 1:1–17
Have you ever felt like you’ve drifted away from your calling or purpose? It can be unsettling, and truth be told, most of us, at one time or another, have drifted from where God wants us to be. The hope is that it’s never too late for change. The Apostle Paul writes this letter addressing the church’s drift and how to get back.
