It is always easier to identify the faults and flaws in others than it is to see them in ourselves. Either way, the only effective way to deal with our spiritual shortcomings is to find and address the root of the problem. In this portion of his letter to the Corinthian church, Paul makes it clear that spiritual immaturity and divisiveness in the church are symptoms of some deeply rooted, fundamental problems that need to be corrected. And though Paul is writing to the Corinthian church, he is writing to us as well.
