Small Group Questions

1. What foundation are we building our lives on? American ideals? Family traditions? Familiar tendencies? Or Christ?

2. Read 1 Peter 2:4 NLT and discuss; In what foundation are we finding hope? Are we, like this scripture talks about, rejecting the only foundation that cannot be shaken? How many times have we seen other foundations be shaken?

3. Read 1 Peter 2:5-6 and Hebrews 13:7-9 NLT and discuss; Why is it important that our foundation cannot be our thoughts and ideas, our skillsets and giftings, our faith cannot be built on our traditions or experiences but Christ alone? How has this been true in your own life?

4. Read Psalms 18:1-6 and 1 Peter 2:7-10 NLT and discuss; When we rest our mindset that Christ is the foundation for which we build our lives upon, it resets our priorities, it resets our vantage point, it resets our peace and hope! What can we do practically to remind ourselves of this truth?
