Why we do should always drive what we do! It seems like a simple enough statement, but it really should be the heartfelt approach of the church in every decision that is made! What's our why? It should be to share the hope of our Savior with all those that we meet! It's that we choose to live differently because we have this hope in our Savior, who is purifying us as we learn how to walk in His example.
As we take a look at Titus chapter 2 where Paul is addressing Titus and the church on the island in Crete, we see a mirror image of our own culture and sometimes the church. Just as they were reminded so many years ago, we need to make sure we are hearing and teaching the Truth. We don't reconcile the Bible to the culture or our feelings to what we preach. We surround ourselves with mentors of the faith so that from one generation to another, we may continue to teach the Truth.
