Many times, we find that the church is influenced by what is happening in the culture around us. What we believe and what we deem as truth can often be persuaded by those around us rather than the the church measuring everything they believe and do based on the foundation of Jesus. This is not a new concept and is exactly the snapshot of what we see happening to the church in Crete as Senior Pastor Scott Hobbs digs into our new sermon series based on the book of Titus.
We need to make sure, as the church, we are building on the right foundation of Jesus Christ. "All other ground is sinking sand." If we can as a church be more concerned with His Presence than our preferences and choose leaders that follow this important requirement, we will find that our jobs, our relationships, and our church will be grounded on a foundation that is not swayed by shirting culture.
