Psalm 78: 1-7
Is children and teen ministry just baby-sitting, and entertainment? Something to keep the kids occupied and out of trouble while the adults get on with spiritual stuff? It has been well said, “Kids aren’t the future; they’re here now!” At Lakeside we believe that our children are more than an abstract concept of the future. We believe they need to know that Jesus loves them now. We want to help teach the next generation how to make wise choices and treat others with kindness and respect. We acknowledge that kids are like sponges, they’re capable of far more than we give them credit for, and they are constantly learning. That means we have an incredible responsibility to share the love of God with them, and to help parents establish a solid and reasonable foundation of faith they can build upon for the rest of their lives.
