In this special excerpt, Bonnie Jones shares insight on her quiet time with God and some recent shifts in how she prays.

Bonnie started the session talking about dreams. Sometimes we have perplexing dreams that leave us wondering. Her husband, Bob Jones, would say that when you have a mixture of dreams, it’s the Lord clearing out your spirit man and your dream life so He can make a rich deposit in you. So, when Bonnie has this experience, she’s waiting for something big and bold to come!

At night, she tries to surrender her mind to her spirit … and then surrenders her spirit to the Holy Spirit so when she’s at rest, she’s not thinking. It’s here that you are submitting to the Holy Spirit so He can interact on an easier level.

You may not remember your dreams, but your spirit man will remember them!

Bonnie said that she thinks that a lot of the time, the Lord hides things from us so we can walk them out the next day. Sometimes when you are walking out your day and you have a “déjà vu” moment, it’s because the Lord has already shown you in your dreams what will happen.

He will show us! We live in eternity. He can show us the beginning or middle of your life. He can show us anything He wants to!

Bonnie mentioned how sometimes she has a lot of prophetic dreams in a row but then she’ll have a really bad dream. When she asked her husband about this, he said that God knows our dreams, but the devil doesn’t. However, the devil can see the light when the Lord is giving us these prophetic dreams. It’s the light that’s coming into us. When the dreams finish and the light’s gone, he tries to throw something dark at us to bring fear.

We have to separate these things. Check everything with Scripture.

Next, Bonnie talked about how her intercessory prayer life has changed. There was a period of time when the Lord had her praying for hours every day and then it changed. Right now, the Lord has her set her clock for 3am and then just spend time with Him. Bonnie listens to see if the Lord wants her just to sit quietly or if she should pray. Sometimes she just prays on her knees until He starts to speak. And then she writes what He says and sometimes He gives Scripture. However He wants to do it, she just makes herself available.

Before she married Bob she was praying four hours at a time, mostly for Bob. It’s just different for each person in how the Lord wants us to pray. Just seek Him.

In an old Bible, Bonnie discovered this note from 2004: Prayer from the heart without speaking engages my mind with His.

Bonnie prays His prayers … prayers to move nations!

God knows our thoughts, the enemy doesn’t. When she prays, she prays out loud so the devil can hear her. Bonnie wants the devil to hear her praise and worship because she wants him to know what corner she’s in … it’s not his!

Often, Bonnie will tell the Lord that she has a question she wants to talk to Him about. And then she doesn’t say anything because she’s speaking from her spirit. She’ll just wait for an answer. Then, she can go to sleep because she’s made her petition. It’s like Habbakuk bringing his petition before the Lord and then waiting to see what He would answer. And then, like in the book of Job, once God answered, the person decreed the word.

Our words have power!

Once you decree the word, the angels have to act upon it. There has to be a motion that takes place.

Bonnie emphasized again that prayer from the heart without speaking engages our minds with the Lord’s.

God Has the Enemy in Checkmate

Find out more at http://dougaddison.com/timeoff Shawn started off the session by saying that there are things manifesting in culture and in the world right now that are insidious and demonic. We know that God is omnipresent. The enemy is not omnipresent. When he is manifesting in these many places, he’s holding nothing back. He doesn’t have many resources, so he’s using all his resources at once in our generation to make a show and an appearance. That’s why you’re seeing such blatant things like Grammy performances—which are actual demonic displays—and recent scandals where there’s been occult activity. You’re also seeing it with other musicians, film and video games. Many things happening in culture are a full display of the enemy. And while you look at this (and of course you hate to see it), know that the enemy does not have us in check ... God has the enemy in checkmate! The enemy does not rule. God rules! God is doing an alignment right now and that's why there's been so much transition. Many people have been going through career changes, geography changes, personal development changes … so many of us have overcome things! A barrage of spiritual warfare has happened against the average believer. Some of you may have felt that or maybe you’ve already overcome it. Maybe it feels as if you’re in the middle of it now. But understand the reason why the enemy does this … It’s to distract us from who Jesus is and what He can do. If we can keep our eyes on Jesus, everything in the world can be overcome. Jesus already beat everything at the cross. When you’re looking at Jesus and His affection for humanity, it changes the narrative. For example, when the Pharisees came to stone the woman caught in adultery, they wanted to trap Jesus by having Him say that the woman shouldn’t be stoned, because that would have gone against the law. Instead, Jesus said that whoever didn’t have sin should cast the first stone. When Jesus looks at the world right now it's not Democrat or Republican or Diddy versus the clean celebrities. Or your children who are having a hard time versus the ones who aren’t … He looks at the world with love and He came to die to give His life for each one, so we can all know Him. The Lord is going to give His people unusual options that don't exist on the table of humanity right now. We’re going to encourage each other through His prophetic Spirit and anointing, and then we're going to see a spirit of encouragement be released where there's been all hell breaking loose. Shawn said that he’s not sure when it will be, but we're about to hit a tipping point. We're in a window of opportunity right now to see and focus ourselves on what God's doing. Even if it’s just a practice of love—we’re coming to Thanksgiving and being grateful for what we’re seeing God do. Shawn urged the Partners to pray, “You are my tipping point, Jesus. You’re the one who’s going to bring me (and the world) all the way with Your full plan. You lose nothing. Even though we can see the injustice of what’s been lost, You can bring it all together.” We are going to be in Heaven one day and we’re going to see the beautiful recompense, restitution, and restoration … the full plan of God. When we do, we’re going to say, “You’re so brilliant, God.” We have no idea how good His goodness is! When we see His full plan, we’re going to be screaming, “Holy!” When we look at Him, we’re going to be astounded at what He’s done to make things right, and this will be beyond what we can comprehend. We’re going to worship Him forever for it … and we can enter into some of that now. God wants to show us what He's doing. He wants to show us that He has a plan that's going to trump the enemy. He has a plan that's going to destroy the works of darkness and align Christians to be transformative agents … to do things in culture that have never been done before. Shawn told the Partners how he spoke at churches and conferences and enjoyed it for many years, but then there was a shift in him. He felt like he was being deployed from the church and into the world. He felt the Lord calling him into the area of media ministry. Shawn also said that he felt the contradiction in many people’s hearts where they didn’t really believe to go into all the world, even though they preached it. They didn’t think it was that valuable … Regardless, Shawn started a news commentary broadcast, and they’ve had 20 million listens, which is a huge distribution. At first, it felt as if they were just shooting in the dark. And even some of the subjects he was given … Shawn wasn’t sure how he would talk about them with love and in a way that was honoring, but then he realized that God was deploying people into culture. This is going to require transformation and people who are willing to go and be in these environments to see that transformation happen. Walking in Your New Nature & Manifesting Christ

Find out more at http://dougaddison.com/timeoff Question: I would like to have a better awareness of living and functioning from being seated in heavenly places. What would be a good way to approach maturing in that way? Patricia King’s answer: First of all, we always need to understand what the truth of the Word is. The Word says in Ephesians that we're already seated in heavenly places in Christ. That's a good foundation to start with … to have confidence in what the Word says and to understand what that means. Jesus said (in John 3) to Nicodemus, “that which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” Nicodemus was asking Jesus about being born again. When we receive Christ into our life, He comes inside our spirit. You are a three-part being, just like God is a three-part being. You are one person, but you have three parts. You have a soul, and you live in a body. Your soul is your mind, will and emotions. Your body is the physical container you live in. But your spirit is at the core of your being. In Scripture, it's often called your “inner man” or the “innermost part of your being,” that is your spirit man. That is the part of you that is born again. When Jesus comes into your heart, He comes inside your spirit. When Paul spoke to the church at Corinth, he said that when Christ comes into you, you become a brand-new creation. Old things have passed away, and all things have become new. When you invite Jesus into your heart, not all things have become new in your physical body. Your physical body is the same. Even if we would like some change, all things are not made new in our physical body and in our soul. When I got born again, I was so filled with love that I was seeing everything through the lens of love. My emotions, thoughts and choices were saturated in the presence of God. But it didn't take long to realize that not all things had become new in my soul. There were certain thoughts I would have or words I would speak that were not aligned with what Christ would have wanted for me. It wasn't my soul, but it was my spirit that was brand-new. This is so important when you are living your life in the Lord because you want to live from that which is perfect. And that’s done day by day, by the Word of God and by choosing to walk in His light. Our spirit is already perfect. It's already made in the perfect image of God. There's no sin in your spirit. Your spirit cannot be broken, and it can't be sick or demonized. That new nature of Christ is holy. It's the Holy of Holies inside of you … Absolutely pure and beautiful. Your spirit man is not just a blob on the inside of your belly. It actually fills your whole being. If I were to take off my physical body and put it on a hanger, and then take off my soul and put it on a hanger, all I would have left is my spirit man. I would look just like me, except in the spirit. I would be a transfigured me. You would see the nature of Christ in me. You would see the beauty of Christ in me, but I would look like me. In your head is your spirit man head. In your neck is your spirit man's neck. Just get past thinking that it's just a blob on the inside of you! In this spirit man, you are perfectly formed. It's a miracle of rebirth and you're given what's called eternal life … It’s God’s life in you! I love coffee so I could pour myself a cup of coffee, but I like it with cream. So, I pour a cup of black coffee. But the moment I put cream in my black coffee, it is now a new drink. I can't separate the cream from the coffee anymore. Or the coffee from the cream. It's a brand-new drink! This is like Christ and you together; you’re a brand-new creation! There's no one else like you. Nothing in all eternity is like you. That is who you really are! Paul said that when you walk in the spirit, you don't fulfill the lust of the flesh. We know when we walk in the Holy Spirit, we don't have access to the flesh … but it's also your spirit man, your born-again spirit nature. When you walk in that new nature and identify with who you are, you're not trying to fix anything. You're identifying the truth of who you are as a brand-new creation. That is the real me. I am in Christ. I am amazing. I am pure and holy and righteous, and I have the mind of Christ. This is who I really am! The more you focus on who you are, the more you'll manifest who you are. When you walk in your new nature, you won't be feeling the loss of the old nature. You will be walking in the new nature and manifesting Christ! Spirit of Might, Counsel, Knowledge and Fear of the Lord

Find out more at http://dougaddison.com/timeoff Sean Smith started out the session by talking about the Spirit of Might. The Spirit of Might imparts power, strength and anointing for divine plans. Sometimes we want the Spirit of Might for our plans, but the Spirit of Might is guaranteed for divine plans. Might was a word used to describe David's mighty men. Benaiah went down into a pit and killed a lion on a snowy day. Three of David’s men broke through a Philistine garrison to get water. Shammah defeated the Philistines in a lentil field. These were amazing, mighty men! Sean asked the Partners two questions: Are you ready to see God's power? Are you desperate to witness a display of God's might? Holy Spirit makes that available to us and God wants YOU! Sean mentioned that he and his mentor were watching a particular evangelist, and many people came to be healed. Sean’s mentor said, “If half these people came with the same expectancy to their Sunday morning service or their small group, they could get their healing there.” The people had the expectation that the evangelist had the might instead of the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit is ready to bring the might! He carries the explosive, miracle-working power and He’s ready to use it. Give Him the opportunity! Next, Sean focused on the Spirit of Knowledge. The Spirit of Knowledge is knowing things hidden from human eyes. This can include knowing what people are planning, what they are doing, or what they are hiding. You can perceive what’s going on! For example, in Acts 8, Peter perceived that when Simon the sorcerer was trying to buy the Holy Spirit, he was in the gall of bitterness. It’s important to understand that there’s head knowledge and then there’s heart knowledge. We can get a lot of head knowledge easily. We can Google stuff, use ChatGPT and more, but the Holy Spirit is ready to give you heart knowledge. Sean continued by talking about the Spirit of the fear of the Lord. He mentioned that the Father is loving, and we can bask in that love, but we can’t lose the awe of Father God and the fear of God. Sean thinks that the North American body of Christ has lost the awe of God. He believes the Holy Spirit wants to bring that back. And where there’s awe, there’s intimacy. If people really knew the Father, there would be more reverence. Sean said that he has no problem calling God “Daddy,” and we call out “Abba.” But in the midst of that, understand that He’s a sovereign God. It’s a balance of knowing God as Daddy, but also knowing Him as a sovereign God and having awe of God. This is what will keep us from secret sins, and it will keep us from allowing pride to build up. The Spirit of the fear of the Lord is knowing who He is, thinking about the twenty-four elders bowing down and more! John wrote the book of Revelation and when he saw Jesus as the Resurrected One, he fell on his face as if dead. Sean ended the session by challenging the Partners to use each of these designations of the Holy Spirit as decrees and prayer points.
