Drop Shame to Walk in Your Heavenly Identity

Some people have been subject to this, and while it may lead to a change in behavior, it produces a distancing from God and God's heart. Dan has seen shame, guilt and condemnation work its way into basic philosophy and many backgrounds that everyone’s a part of. Some people have come from certain religious backgrounds that basically say anything you do wrong (anything that causes you to step out of line) deserves to be highlighted. So they feel shame about it, and then there’s a highlight on sin, a constant focus on sin, and then a person’s value becomes anchored to their ability to not sin. In this system, people are reminded that every time they sin, they have failed God, and they should feel really bad. People end up in cycles of performance and they think God hates them. People get frustrated because the only thing they can do is feel bad, and it doesn’t produce closeness or intimacy with God. One of the things it produces is an unhealthy fear of losing salvation. In this mindset, the thinking is … if you do the right thing, you can still go to Heaven when you die, BUT you’re letting God down and He’s ashamed of you. And when that’s the background someone comes from, shame becomes a tool of behavior modification. This sometimes happens because the Church wants people to “look and act Christian.” Dan mentioned that what he’s found is that people who look and act Christian because they’re afraid of consequences or losing their salvation (or that God hates them) … these people are not intimate with God. In this system, it’s hard for people to run to God when things go sideways or if there is a failure of any kind. They just feel robbed and depressed because they don’t think they’re good enough. The thinking is, “If I was good enough, I could make God happy.” People go into all sorts of emotional places, and sometimes this mindset is even taught from the pulpit. Another statement that hasn't helped the situation is this: “You are a no good, low-down, worthless sinner saved by grace.” When that statement is applied, it becomes an identity. People think: “I'm trash and Jesus is good. So, thank God I can be trash saved by Jesus.” The truth is that you WERE a no good, low-down, worthless sinner, but the moment you’re saved, you are a son of God—an heir of God. With Christ, it is completely different. This is the heavenly identity. You are raised and seated with Christ in heavenly places. “Shall you not judge angels?” (1 Corinthians 6:3) That’s the heavenly identity. There is so much in the New Testament about the heavenly identity, and even in the Old Testament, preparing us to see in full view what Jesus would accomplish in His death, burial, and resurrection. Shame anchors people to a false identity for the sake of behavior modification, but it’s a big backfire. People usually need to be delivered of that sin consciousness. The focus has to be put on the finished work of Jesus Christ, the grace of God and the heavenly identity. As we focus on who God is, His forgiveness, and the finished work of Christ, we can receive the grace to walk free of sin. The 7 Times Jesus Shed His Blood for Us

And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. Luke 22:44 NIV This was in the Garden of Gethsemane. The first time Jesus shed his blood was in prayer. He was praying fervently, His capillaries burst and His sweat became like drops of blood falling on the ground. Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists. Others slapped him Matthew 26:67 NIV Jesus was struck with fists. This is the second time His blood was shed. James pointed out Micah 5:1 for a prophetic reference and also mentioned that Jesus was struck with rods. The Sovereign Lord has opened my ears; I have not been rebellious, I have not turned away. I offered my back to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard; I did not hide my face from mocking and spitting. Isaiah 50:5–6 NIV Isaiah says that they took hold of chunks of his beard, and they pulled it out. That would shed blood. This is the third instance of His blood being shed. Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified. Mathew 27:26 NIV In this verse, Jesus was not crucified yet, and his blood was shed when he was flogged. This was the fourth instance of His blood being shed. And then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand. Then they knelt in front of him and mocked him. “Hail, king of the Jews!” they said. Mathew 27:29 NIV The crown of thorns produced blood. That was the fifth instance of His blood being shed. This was prophesied in Isaiah 52:13–14: See, my servant will act wisely: he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted. Just as there were many who were appalled at him—his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness. The sixth instance when His blood was shed was when His hands and feet were pierced with the nails (Mathew 27). And the seventh time His blood was shed was when the soldier pierced His side. Find out more at http://dougaddison.com/timeoff Cindy started off the session by saying that those who are interested and supportive of prophets are either prophetic intercessors, prophets themselves, or are on their way. For those who are just learning about the prophetic, Cindy mentioned that she wishes someone would have helped her in her early days. She feels like she would have made fewer mistakes. Early on in her ministry, she thinks she could have done a better job in her delivery. This is often the case with prophets when they are starting out, and that’s. That’s one of the reasons she wrote some of her books. We can learn to be skillful at giving prophetic words, or how we apply or pray about them. The gift of prophecy is very important. To emphasize this, Cindy mentioned 1 Corinthians 14, which talks about the importance of the prophetic gift. She pointed out that in verse one, the Bible says that we should eagerly desire the gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy. We should fervently and passionately desire the prophetic. Cindy went on to mention how much easier it is to find correlating Bible verses and information now. When she first started preaching 45 years ago, she had a room full of study books. It used to take her hours. She shared some memories of one of their first prophetic conferences when Dutch Sheets gave a word about “setting a trumpet to your mouth.” This helped Cindy as she was really pursuing the prophetic at the time. She was just launching into the deep. Back then, she also met Bishop Bill Hammond, who she considers to be the father of the modern-day prophetic movement. Cindy mentioned that she first prophesied when she was four years old. She prophesied the birth of her little sister … She just knew things! There’s a lot of discussion about whether you are born with a prophetic gift or if you can develop it. When Cindy wrote her book, The Voice of God, she interviewed many different prophets to try to get to the bottom of this question. There's natural wisdom then there's wisdom given by God. Cindy emphasized that it's so important to develop prophetic gifts. We need all the gifts to manifest! She said that it's wonderful to see all the gifts of the Holy Spirit and all the offices functioning together. Cindy thinks that we need to go back and teach on the offices (some of the basics). In the 1980s, these were taught a lot … In the 1990s, there was more of a focus on the prophets and prophecy … Many people don’t have the proper foundations and it would be good to go back and lay those foundations again. 3 Principles of Intimacy

Find out more at https://dougaddison.com/timeoff/. #1 Principle of Intimacy: The Principle of Separation You don’t have intimacy with someone if they are separate from you. Sean mentioned that if all he ever did was spend time with his wife at church, they would have a very poor relationship. It’s important to have a room and a place where you separate yourself to Holy Spirit. There’s no formula for your quiet time. It’s like making a cake. Everyone might make a cake a little differently, but you’re pretty much going to have the same ingredients. Our ingredients for intimacy are worship, the Word, and petition. Sometimes in the “cake mix of intimacy” people can leave out waiting upon Holy Spirit. When you wait on someone, it humbles you, right? Just think about waiting on someone when they’re late. It’s humbling and it will mess with your pride. We are normally in such a hustle … We race past everybody like blurred scenery on the freeway. It’s just race, race, race, and we’ve got to slow down. Sometimes you just need to put your iPhone on mute or put it in a different room altogether. If you’re going to develop intimacy with Holy Spirit and receive major revelation, it’s going to stretch you. #2 Principal of Intimacy: The Principle of Time If you’re going to develop intimacy with someone, you’ve got to spend time. You’re either disingenuous or you’re deceived if you think you could have intimacy and never spend long periods of time with a person. If you spent as much time with your human friends as you did with Holy Spirit, would you have good relationships with your friends? Sean mentioned that he’s not trying to guilt people here, it’s just something to think about. The average Christian thinks they have a relationship with Holy Spirit, but they don’t spend the time. Brother Lawrence wrote a book about practicing the presence of God. As he was washing dishes, he would talk to Holy Spirit. He would be practicing the presence of God during everyday events. There are times when maybe you’re not locked away in your prayer room. Maybe you’re driving, in the shower, putting on your makeup or combing your hair or whatever … You can invite Holy Spirit in with you on those everyday things. Sean mentioned that he rides his bike a lot and one of the things he loves to do is just say, “Holy Spirit, talk to me. What are You feeling today? What’s on Your heart?” When Sean prays that simple prayer, Holy Spirit speaks. #3 Principle of Intimacy: The Principle of Communication To achieve intimacy you have to talk. But you also have to listen! Sean asked the Partners to think about talk shows. He said that we don’t tune in to talk shows for monologues, we tune in for dialogue! The guest star sits on the couch, and you want to find out something about their life. And to do that, it’s a back-and-forth conversation. Sean then gave this challenge to the Partners: Don’t end your quiet time talking. End your quiet time listening. Be still and know that He is God! Some people tell Sean that they struggle hearing the voice of God. But Sean tells them that they just need to be still, and He will speak. So, the struggle is not in hearing God speak, the struggle is in quieting yourself, shutting out the noise and being still. If you do this, the inner volume of God’s spirit begins to rise! 3 Ways to Tap into the Creative Realm

Brian Simmons began the session by asking this question: How do you tap into the realm of creativity? Here’s the on-ramp … it’s with dreams! Brian acknowledged that he was speaking to prophetic dreamers on the call (Doug Addison’s Partners) and he mentioned that Doug is a premier dreamer and dream interpreter … and that Doug has constant revelation flowing into him through dreams. Next, Brian told the Partners to pay attention to this: God is the one who puts dreams in our spirit … and you will tap into the realm of creativity by your delights. Ask yourself what you really want to do. If you follow your God-given passion, it’ll take you to the other side of the rainbow. If you delight in the word of God, the promises for you are success, prosperity and incredible fruit. Delight yourself in God and He’s going to delight in you. Brian said that he’s always had a delight in the Bible. He memorized the Book of Ephesians first, then John, Philippians, Romans and Hebrews. In the first two years of his salvation, he’d memorized seventeen books of the Bible … And he was totally burned out on LSD. The fact that he could even complete a sentence was a miracle! God had wired him for his translation work. He had the ability to memorize and put Scripture into his heart. Brian added that he was legalistic and self-righteous. He needed to learn to love like every newlywed husband … But God turned his water into wine and the word became so rich and such a treasure to him! The discovery of your delight is a key—a master key to creativity—so don’t push it away. Some other notes from the session: Our difficulties are gateways into creativity. One of the most amazing discoveries Brian ever made as a Bible translator is about the word creativity. The Hebrew word for creativity is the same word as the Hebrew word for pain. Pain and creativity are linked in the spirit. Some of the most creative masterpieces have come out of the most difficult traumas. Your trauma is a gateway to creativity! Brian emphasized that you’re not going to waste one tear or sorrow. God is not going to let you waste a time of grief, sorrow, pain, trauma, abuse, rejection, or manipulation … All the things that have come at you in this life that have marked you. God is not going to let any one of those things be wasted. Jesus is called the Redeemer and He’s going to redeem every trauma in your life and turn it into creativity if you will let Him! What about the pain Jesus experienced? That birthed creativity! That birthed something! Blood and water came from His side. He gave birth to the heavenly through His pain. The first mention of pain in the Bible is with Eve and childbirth. Isn’t it interesting that when moms give birth, they’re creating a life? They’re actually creating with God. Trusting Your Emotions vs. Your Thoughts

Ray started off the session by saying that one of the areas where he sees the enemy trying to destroy us (and keep us from knowing who we are) is in these phrases: You can’t trust your heart or You can’t trust your emotions. He hears these phrases all the time. He has even heard this said: If one of your friends lied to you as much as your emotions do, you would no longer be their friend. Ray made the point that your emotions are never lying to you. Your emotions are always telling you what you feel. You can—100%—trust your emotions 100% of the time to tell you what you are feeling. They’re not telling you anything else. They’re NOT telling you what’s going on around you (that would be discernment). But if you’re in the place where you’re triggered by fear, shame or guilt, the information you’re getting doesn’t necessarily mean that’s an accurate report of what’s going on. It means that your emotions are just informing you about what you’re feeling. What we can’t trust are our thoughts, because our thoughts (most of the time) are manifesting our emotions. That’s why we have to capture every thought and bring it into the light so we can make them obedient to Christ. One of the most common things Ray has seen by people believing that they can’t trust their hearts (and making their emotions something that are untrustworthy) is that the Church has dissociated from their hearts, and they live from their heads. By doing this, the Church is actually still eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil instead of the tree of life. When we eat from the tree of knowledge, we try to do what’s right and stay away from wrong, and we become “right-and-wrong robots” instead of followers of Jesus. This is the most common thing Ray sees that’s destroying people. As a new creation, one of the most destructive lies that you can believe is that you are STILL just a sinner with a wicked heart. That will destroy your walk because then you will really believe that you are JUST a sinner. Faith always manifests itself, so if you truly believe you’re just a sinner, you will manifest sin. Then what you do is … you start trying to manage your behavior because that’s all you can do. If you’re just a sinner with a wicked heart, then that’s what you’ve got to do—you can’t stop sinning. So, what people think they have to do is manage behavior, and managing your behavior is a lifestyle of sin. Ray made the point that he was not saying to go out and live whatever life you want to live, because righteous grace does not manifest sin. If we can believe who we are, we can live who we are. So, remember: One of the core lies that’s keeping us stuck and destroying our walk with the Lord is behavioral management. Revival & the Believer’s Role to Overcome

James started off by quoting Revelation 12:11, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” He pointed out that “they” are believers, and overcoming “him” refers to the accuser of the brethren. This verse points out that we have to overcome! We can be a believer, but it doesn’t mean we are an overcomer. We overcome because of the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of our testimony. In this verse, believers are testifying what the blood of the Lamb has done for them … and the believers did not love their lives, even unto death. James Goll also mentioned Leviticus 16:11–19 and told the Partners to look up these verses because they are fascinating and rarely taught. He then focused on Leviticus 16:19: “With his finger he shall sprinkle some of the blood on it seven times and cleanse it, and from the impurities of the sons of Israel consecrate it.” Under the Law of Atonement after the priest had ministered at the altar of incense, he would go beyond the veil into the most holy place. Here, the priest would take some of the blood of the bull and the goat and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat and on the horns of the altar … in three places, seven times. This is an amazing detail! Some Bible teachers have taught that three is the number of the godhead or Trinity and the number seven represents completion. This was the picture of what was yet to come. When the High Priest, Jesus, shed His blood, He did a complete work. It was finished! James also pointed out that there were seven different declarations that Jesus made on the cross. One of them was His last one, which was, “It is finished.” The work of atonement has been made perfectly complete through the blood of the Lamb of God, Christ Jesus! Get a Quick Deliverance from Shame

He mentioned that as we go through both the Old Testament and New Testament, we find that shame is referenced, and one of the things that God does is bring shame upon His enemies. “Declare among the nations, Proclaim, and set up a standard; proclaim—do not conceal it—say, ‘Babylon is taken, Bel is shamed. Merodach is broken in pieces; Her idols are humiliated, her images are broken in pieces.’” Jeremiah 50:2 NKJV God is not afraid to introduce the devil to shame. This is why Dan says we should make it our business to shame the devil. Our victory and ability to step into our identity (our ability to overcome) shames the devil. When we overcome with the power of the victory of Jesus, that shames all the devil’s operations, accusations and assignments against our lives. We should make that our lifestyle goal. When there is rebellion, there will be shame that is released. Dan referenced this verse: Therefore behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you and forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and will cast you out of My presence. And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.’” Jeremiah 23:39–40 NKJV In this context, it's not really being used in any kind of redemptive process, it's a judgment and a consequence. As we turn to Jesus, and as we are receiving forgiveness, engaging in repentance, laying down idols, surrendering those things of our past that hinder us, we receive redemption from past judgments or anchor points that the enemy has leveraged against us. There are other contexts in which shame is mentioned throughout the New Testament. Shame is humiliation. Look at what Paul says: Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? If then you have judgments concerning things pertaining to this life, do you appoint those who are least esteemed by the church to judge? I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren? But brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers! 1 Corinthians 6:1–6 NKJV Paul is basically making this pronouncement to their shame. Why would Paul, the apostle of Jesus Christ, put shame on anybody? Good question! There are things that we do that bring shame upon ourselves and the house of God. Paul was not yoking them to bondage—to shame—he was pointing out what they were doing that was bringing shame upon them so they could repent. We can do things that bring shame upon us that we need to repent for. We have interactions with shame because of past bondages. These are things we've walked through and bad choices we may be currently making. These things bring shame upon us. When we turn from our wicked ways and turn to Jesus and His righteous standard, we come into deliverance from all of that. Dan then focused on these verses: Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore, in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs. Isaiah 61:7 NKJV God has an agenda to deliver His people from shame and replace that with honor. Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; for you will forget the shame of your youth, and will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore. For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is His name; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth. Isaiah 54:4–5 NKJV That is the heart of God for our shame. Dan then took our Partners into a healing and deliverance session. His words are below: If anything I have said has triggered you and you think you might be carrying some shame, I’m going to pray for you. Whatever has come up in you, all I want you to do is hold that before the Lord. We get the opportunity and the privilege of surrendering things that God does not want in our lives, and Jesus will help us to let it go and deliver us from every spirit in and around our environment that has been smashing us because of those things … and through that, hindering our lives, creating obstacles to the plans and purposes of God. I want to invite everybody that's ready to pray with me. Close your eyes and just take a moment to meditate with Jesus on what's coming up. If you're feeling emotion and you don't know what that emotion is attached to, close your eyes and say, “Lord Jesus, what is it that You're bringing to the surface? Just show me. Just show me.” Today we're going to let Him deliver us from shame. Prayer: Where have I broken agreement with Your heart for me? For my life? For those around me? Where have I accepted false labels? Embraced self-hatred? Taken an identity from failures or cycles of bondage instead of the heavenly identity and Your finished work? Just show me. Father God, we come before You today in the mighty name of Jesus. We thank You that You are faithful, who promises. You are the healer. You are the deliverer. You are the Good Shepherd. It is written, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want, need or have lack of anything. You make me to lie down in green pastures. You lead me beside still waters. You restore my soul.” We come before You today, Lord God, to confess hidden shame—shame that has been harbored in our hearts, in our subconscious, in our minds—shame about our performance, achievements … our bodies, our ability to walk in freedom, our intelligence—shame regarding things we've done in the past that weren't right … shame that we are deriving from things we shouldn't be doing now, holding us in cycles of behavior that do not please You … We confess shame. And we repent, Lord God. We repent because we do not need to be defined by shame. Shame must be dethroned in our lives. So, we change our thinking, and we renounce shame and serve it a bill of divorce. Whatever it is that has been held forth in people's hearts, we thank You, Jesus, that You are taking those hidden things of shame right now … because it is written, “Instead of your shame there shall be double honor.” Therefore, Lord God, I declare that every evil spirit that has been at work in and around our lives as a result of the shame we have renounced … they are now being bound, pierced through, thrust out for judgment to wherever the Lord Jesus sends them. Lord God, I thank You that Your Holy Spirit takes opportunities to impart truth where there have been lies. Holy Spirit, show us Your perspective of who we are. I thank you, Lord God, that we are washed today by the water of Your Word. Thank You for garments of righteousness, garments of praise, garments of salvation, and I thank You that this freedom is sealed everywhere Yahweh is. Amen. A Season of Harvest, Multiplication and Fruitfulness

Find out more at https://dougaddison.com/timeoff/ Tony started out the session by saying that we are in the new Hebrew calendar year 5784, which is the year of the open door based on the meaning of the 4th letter of the Hebrew alphabet (alef-bet). This is a season for the great harvest. The 4th miracle of Jesus is Him feeding the 5000, so the 4th letter of the Hebrew number system also represents multiplication. The Church in the Book of Acts experienced addition first, and then after chapter 5 they went into multiplication. So Tony believes we're moving from addition into multiplication. He went on to say that he believes—this year—we’re going to see God multiply the works of our hands and the seeds we've sown. Multiplication will come through thanksgiving. Tony also believes we're stepping into a season of God's fullness. It's a “fullness of time” time … in terms of what's happening within God's timetable. In that kind of season, thanksgiving and gratitude are key. One of the sins that kept the Israelites out of the Promised Land was their grumbling. Let's shift from grumbling into gratitude! When Jesus received the fish and the bread, He looked up and broke it. Many people feel broken in this season, but remember that after Jesus gave thanks, there was multiplication. Remember the 4th miracle of Jesus and be encouraged. In Genesis chapter 2, there is a mention that out of Eden flowed 4 rivers. Eden means “his desire.” So out of His desire, there are 4 rivers. The 1st river was called Pishon and that means “increase.” The 2ndd river, Gihon, means “to burst forth” or “break through.” Tigris, the 3rd river, means “rapid or “acceleration.” Euphrates, the 4th river, means “fruitfulness.” So, get ready because the places where you thought you were breaking, Tony believes you are going to bear much fruit! You're going from barrenness to fruitfulness … because of your faithfulness! Perhaps you thought that no one has seen your faithfulness. Tony mentioned that he felt like the Lord is saying, “Get ready because we are in the 4th river of Euphrates, and you are going to step into it by His grace … by His Spirit … not by might nor by power, but by His Spirit … into a great season of fruitfulness!” Tony mentioned that this word personally encouraged him, and he has seen this happen in his own life. The Bride of Christ and Holy Matrimony

Find out more at https://dougaddison.com/timeoff/. Bonnie started out by saying the time has come for the Bride of Christ to enter into the holiness of God. This is where the Bride is seated behind the veil. Behind the veil, the enemy is not going to touch you and it’s where the Lord will teach His Bride. There’s no struggle or striving because you’re in the presence of the Lord. Bonnie mentioned that a lot of times, the Lord teaches her in the night season. During the day people are busy, and at night He takes you to this place which is behind the veil. It’s here that your mind is given over to Him. The bridal veil represents the purity of the bride. There’s a lot of carnality in the Church worldwide, and some people just attend because it’s the right thing to do. But the Bride needs to press in. Bonnie talked about Isaac and Rebecca and about how the first thing Rebecca did when she got off the camel was put a veil on her face. She knew she was Isaac’s bride, but he wouldn’t be able to see her until he removed the veil. In the Jewish tradition, the bride covers her face completely until the end of the wedding ceremony. When the bride and groom are legally married, the groom lifts the veil as a way of finalizing their marriage. Two years ago, the Lord told Bonnie that He’s coming to lift the veil off His Bride. That’s why she started her ministry, Daughters of the Dawn. The Lord is coming to lift the veil off the face of His Bride (His beloved who has been faithful to Him, preparing herself for His return). He’s been faithful to continuously intercede for her while she prepares herself in holiness, faithfulness, truth and love. Bonnie said she thinks the Lord has a real expectation about this. He’s as excited for us as we are for Him. The Lord wants that face-to-face encounter with His beloved as He lifts the veil. There’s a dimension we have not yet attained, and Bonnie believes like Moses met with God face to face and the glory rested upon him, that is what the Lord is wanting us to do. Bonnie said that when she goes to bed at night, there’s such anticipation in her and an expectation of a visitation from the Lord … For Him to show her something in a dream or give her a “knowing” or an understanding. The Lord is going to breathe new life into His Bride. Bonnie said we’re going to see new life and it’s going to be something we haven’t seen before. Bonnie told the Partners how her husband, Bob Jones, said there were seven years when he walked in a “Samuel anointing.” He said every word he spoke came to pass right then, and he saw many people get saved and healed. Bonnie mentioned again that that’s why we need to get rid of all our fleshly stuff … Because when the Lord speaks, He needs a vessel to work through … and then we can release His word in power. So, we really need to have clean vessels … pure, only unto the Lord. Bonnie closed by saying that the Lord is unveiling the Bride to take her by the hand into holy matrimony. Knowing Holy Spirit as a Person

Secondly, you must recognize the Holy Spirit as a Person. Holy Spirit is not “junior God.” Sometimes people treat Holy Spirit like He's a junior partner in the Trinity. Jesus told His disciples that it was good for Him to go away because He would send another helper. The Greek word used there means “another of the same kind.” Sean mentioned how he thinks about what Peter would have thought . . . that no one could replace Jesus because He’d done all sorts of miracles. But Jesus knew His mission was to bear our sins upon Himself, to pay the price to release the Kingdom of God, etc … Sean said Jesus was telling them, “You’re ready for this and as real as I’ve been to you, that’s how real Holy Spirit wants to be.” So, is your relationship with Holy Spirit as real as the disciples walking with Jesus? To feel that, bring Holy Spirit into your situations and get His perspective, wisdom and narrative. Sean then mentioned how when Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone, he did not say, “the iPhone.” He only said, “iPhone,” making it more personal. In the same way, we can drop the “the” and say, “Holy Spirit.” This can give us a better sense of intimacy. Holy Spirit is not chill bumps. He's not goosebumps. He's not warm flashes. He's not even power alone, those things are impersonal. Holy Spirit is a Person! He has feelings and He can be grieved. He's not moody but He has moods. He’s in the mood to heal. He’s in the mood to restore! He’s in the mood to convict … Sean said, “I'm not saying He's moody, I'm saying He has moods.” Holy Spirit talks and He has a will! Can You Trust Your Heart?

Ray started the session by asking us this question: “Can you trust your heart?” He urged us to be honest with ourselves. He also asked us to write down our answers. Ray has been ministering at a deep level for over twenty years and he sees common issues in the Church related to this question. For many people, what they believe about themselves stems from Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked: who can know it?” This, for many people, is their “gospel” message. Even if they are a believer in Christ, this is their opinion of themselves … and that is very damaging. To find out what Jesus did about that wicked heart, you don’t even have to go to the New Testament; you can go to the Old Testament. In Jeremiah 31:33, the Lord says that He would make a new covenant and put His law within us and write it on our hearts … Also, Ray pointed out these verses: For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land. I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Ezekiel 36:24–27 NIV The Lord says He will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land … sprinkle clean water on you and you shall be clean from all your uncleanness and from all your idols. He will cleanse you and give you a new heart and a new spirit! He will remove the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. He will put His Spirit within you and cause you to walk in His statutes … So, there's a shift! It’s like we didn't even have to get to the New Testament to find out what He did with that old, wicked heart. He actually removed that wicked heart! It was beyond a cure—it wasn't fixable—He had to actually take it out of you. We were crucified on the cross with Jesus. Ray said that he doesn’t remember that happening (being crucified on the cross with Jesus) and he’s sure you don’t either. It’s a spiritual truth. We were co-mingled together on the cross with Jesus. We died with Him! And we didn't just die with Him, we were buried with Him, and we were raised again into new life! That’s the gospel. We’re a new creation! And part of receiving that transformation on the cross is that He removed our old, wicked hearts. He took it from you. The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn. Isaiah 61:1–2 NIV As believers, we’ve got a new heart! That old broken heart was bound up. He removed that wicked heart of stone and gave us a heart of flesh. He wrote the law on it and gave us a new spirit. Ray said that he still remembers when he got this revelation. He was drunk in the Spirit for weeks after! Ray also mentioned reading John chapter 17 to get an idea of what Jesus did for us. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:3–4 NIV God has done what the law weakened by the flesh could not do … by sending His own Son in the likeness of flesh. Jesus glorified the Father by removing that heart of stone—binding it up and removing it—giving us a new heart and writing the law on it. Jesus fulfilled the righteous requirement of the law in that new heart. Prayer: Jesus, I just ask right now that You would comfort, protect, reveal truth, open people's minds … and that their hearts would be able to receive this truth. Jesus cleaned you of all your uncleanness! He wrote the law on your heart and fulfilled the righteous requirement of the law in that new heart. Ray reminded us that Jesus said He would send Holy Spirit. And Holy Spirit is going to glorify Jesus by taking what belongs to Him and revealing it to you! So, Holy Spirit revealing to you the truth of who you are in Christ glorifies Him. Jesus glorified the Father by accomplishing what was needed for you to be the righteousness of Christ. Freedom from Hidden Shame

Dan Duval of Bride Ministries gave a powerful message about shame to our Partners. Afterward, he led us in a deliverance session. There were tears, and many people were set free! Here are some notes from the call: Dan started out by saying that many of us may not realize how much the enemy has tampered with our identity. Most of us just wake up and go about our day, not realizing that he tries to skew our heavenly identity provided by Jesus. Our experiences in this earth have filtered our ability to connect with our identity in Christ. We have the promises given to us by God, and we are being transformed over a lifetime. As we engage with that process, some people encounter a lot of hurdles. Some have more hurdles than others. If you sit down with many people and hear their story, you would not believe what they survived. Most people are wrecked by shame, and they don’t even know it. Shame is the cause of many things that people are struggling with. Dan continued by teaching about one of the major enemies of God in the Old Testament—Molek. Molek is a Canaanite god associated with child sacrifices. Dan read Leviticus 20:1–5 to give us context: The Lord said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites: ‘Any Israelite or any foreigner residing in Israel who sacrifices any of his children to Molek is to be put to death. The members of the community are to stone him. I myself will set my face against him and will cut him off from his people; for by sacrificing his children to Molek, he has defiled my sanctuary and profaned my holy name. If the members of the community close their eyes when that man sacrifices one of his children to Molek and if they fail to put him to death, I myself will set my face against him and his family and will cut them off from their people together with all who follow him in prostituting themselves to Molek. Dan said that the idol of Molek basically functioned like a grill. People set a fire within the idol, and then they would place their children on the outstretched arms of the idol. This was a horrific offense to God, and the fact that His children would do such a thing was an abomination. As you go through Israel’s history, you learn some sad things such as, when Solomon descended into rebellion, he actually built a high place to Molek. Can you imagine? The same man who built the temple goes on later to build a place for Molek (1 Kings 11:7). Dan told us that there is a fascinating study on what the name Molek means. It actually means “King of Shame.” So, you end up with this prophetic symbol that the children of Israel were turning to the “King of Shame” for their demise. And now, for many Christians, shame has been exalted over their identity in God. Many can’t connect with what God has called them to and they can’t step into confidence. They have many hurdles because of hidden shame. Shame is one of the greatest enemies of the children of God! Shame is the painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behavior. Many people carry shame … and shame needs to go! Dan urged us to hold before the Lord whatever was coming up regarding shame. He said that we get the opportunity and privilege of surrendering the things that God does not want in our lives. Jesus will help us let it go! He will deliver us from every evil spirit in and around our environment that has been smashing us and hindering us by creating obstacles to the plans and purposes of God. We Are in a Full Circle Season

Find out more athttps://dougaddison.com/timeoff/http://dougaddison.com/timeoff Tony Kim started out by sharing that we are in the Hebrew calendar year 5784. This is the timing of God and the fullness of God. One of the things the Lord has been speaking to Tony about in this season is the full circle season. If we understand God’s ways AND the ways He advances us, we will start to see a heavenly pattern. We’re not called to live from our past OR our present, we are called to live from our future! As a prophetic generation and a prophetic people, we are called to live FROM the future TO the future. This is often the way God moves us forward. As we are advancing, we can sometimes see what seems to be our past before us. We have to understand that when God advances us, He’s not leading us in a linear, straight line. Tony commented that He sometimes wishes the Lord would lead us that way because he likes formulas, systems and structures. But the Lord is not like that. God does not lead us in a linear “Greek mindset.” In fact, the way God moves is circular. Within these circles, we sometimes see ourselves facing the past again. Just because you’re facing the past does not mean you are going backwards. Oftentimes we have to go backward so we can move forward. Many people find themselves in that space right now—they feel like they’re going backward, but God is preparing us for a new trajectory … to be launched forward with acceleration, breakthrough and recovery. We’re in a season where we can recover and pick up some things God intended for us from the past. In this season, there’s a grace for us to go through past seasons again . . . for us to get the anointings and blessings that the enemy stole from us in the past. We are coming out of a “cocoon” set of years. God is shaking up way more than the enemy could ever shake up. When the enemy shakes things up, it’s for destruction … but when God shakes things up, it’s to bring us into perfect alignment with what He’s doing in the Kingdom. The Lord takes all the things that are in chaos and brings them into alignment with His plans and purposes. Tony also commented that we are in an Isiah 60 season. In Isaiah 5:20 it says, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil …” Woe is a very strong word in Hebrew. The prophet Isaiah is saying, “May God root out these types of people.” Our warfare is not against flesh and blood; our warfare is in the spirit. We need to be constantly reminded that if we fight the wrong battle or the wrong war, we might give the enemy a foothold within our territory to come and take us out. Tony reminded us to forget what the news is saying and tune in to the news of Heaven. He heard the Lord say that He is calling His people to a sabbath season. Returning to Our First Love

In this special excerpt, Bonnie Jones shares how the body of Christ is ready to receive her first love. Find out more at https://dougaddison.com/timeoff/ Bonnie mentioned that over the years she’s prayed many times for people when they're having difficulties, and most of the time their problems or issues are rooted in unforgiveness. People may feel like they have all kinds of pressure coming against them, and many even complain of physical ailments. As soon as Bonnie places her hand on them, the Lord typically shows her that the person is dealing with a veil of deception on their mind. So, that is a prayer and deliverance strategy. However, the person can choose to take back the veil of deception. A real veil of deception has come against the body of Christ, but the Lord has removed that and has replaced it with the Spirit of Truth. It's so important we stay in the Word and gain understanding. Bonnie remarked that, “The bride of Christ will abandon everything to be with her first love, for He is all that truly matters to her! He will be the only focus that she has. He is her beloved.” Bonnie showed the cover of this year’s Shepherd’s Rod. The Lord spoke to Bonnie in a dream and showed her a young man who represented her first love. This young man was in a military uniform, so the cover of the book represents that. And in her dream, nothing was going to keep her from running to her first love. This is how the bride of Christ is … and should be. When the Bride sees Jesus, nothing is going to prevent her from being one with Him. Bonnie then talked about how different people can represent different things in dreams. Sometimes Bob Jones represents the Holy Spirit in her dreams and sometimes her first husband represents the Father. Sometimes her mother represents the Church, and her sister represents wisdom. Tip: Pay attention to how God speaks to you and write it down. You will be able to connect the dots as your history with God grows. It’s an adventure! Bonnie continued with these comments: We are returning to our first love, and it's going to be like nothing we've ever experienced before. The Lord wants face-to-face encounters with His bride!
