Mother's Day - Donate A Dollar

May 5, 2024 • Scott Ward, Penni Burns

On Mother's Day, May 12th, we will be asking each of you to give $1 or more to benefit the mothers at the Crisis Intervention Center. Our goal is to bless them with a special gift in honor of Mother's Day. You are welcome to give by bringing a dollar or more in cash and placing it in the baskets at the Do Something Stations at the entrances to the Worship Center, or you can give online at the link provided here (in the "specify funds" line, just type "mother's day").

About the Crisis Intervention Center...

They have an emergency safe house that is available to individuals and families suffering from domestic abuse. It is private, secure, and has a staff member on-site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When someone comes to stay, they are provided with food, shelter, and support services to help in their transition, including safety planning, one-on-one case management services, legal advocacy, child care, and more.

CarePortal is a new ministry partnership that we are entering into with Arkansas Family Alliance. It will allow you to see and meet real needs of children as they are vetted and made available by social workers and school counselors. There is no obligation, but if you have the opportunity to meet a need - you are able to do so. Get signed up for CarePortal now. We will be launching this the first of June. On June 2nd, we will be hosting a free lunch to train everyone in how to use CarePortal. Matt Whitson with the Arkansas Family Alliance will be with us to do the training. He said it would only take about an hour as we eat. You are welcome to bring your children along for the meal. You do not have to be at the lunch to sign up for CarePortal. We will provide some online training at a later date.
