As we move into Romans chapter 13, Paul continues to show his readers implications of being a Christian in various settings or relationships. Today he tells the Romans and us about the role and importance of the Christian’s relationship to the state or government. And what he reveals may come as a surprise, as we’ll see today as we explore the first seven verses of Romans 13.

Our Relationship to the Weak - Romans 14-15:13

Paul continues to help us understand how we are relate to various people and situations, and an important one is those whose legitimate faith is weaker than our own. With the strong believer assuming their freedom in Christ allows them to do anything in line with the Christian faith, they may overlook how their freedom can affect those who faith is not yet mature. In today’s passage, Paul helps believers understand how they are to relate to other believers who are in a different place on their spiritual journey.
