The Church is God's Family

Give

God created us to be in community together, to have a family of faith-filled brothers and sisters in Christ. It may seem, even old-fashioned to talk about “brothers and sisters” like this, but it was probably the most common language in the early church. It reflected God’s own design and desire for His people, and Jesus came to lead us into our forever families.

The Church is the Body

One of the most surprising metaphors the Bible uses for the church is the body. And yet, as we read what Paul says in 1 Corinthians 12, his metaphor of the body makes some important points about life in Christ’s church. We’ll explore that today and why it matters to every one of us who have chosen to follow Jesus.

We are Called to be Missional

The church is called to be missional. We may envision the term "missional" as overseas missions or the things the church staff does. But could it be that we are also called to be missional? Today we will take a look at evangelism and discipleship. Whether you are new to faith and want to learn or a "veteran" Christian, we all can learn how to be missional without moving across the planet, and instead, living it out in practical ways in our homes and communities.

The Church is Divine

Is the church an entity whose time has come and gone? Is it outdated and filled with hypocrites who confuse its message? Where did the church come from? Whose idea was it, and why did it matter back then? And does it still matter today? We just might discover that many of us don’t really understand the church and its purposes. We just might discover that God has always had a bigger hand in the church than we ever imagined!
