This week we are going to talk about having a resilient community. What are we looking for to develop it and who qualifies to be a part of it?

When you get sick you call a _____. When your house is on fire you call the _____. When your life is falling apart, your kids are acting crazy, life is just a mess and you need prayer... Who do you call? We know who to call or reach out to for a lot of things. In other situations our community is not prepared for the tough situations in life. God has a different plan. This week we are going to talk about having a resilient community. What are we looking for to develop it and who qualifies to be a part of it?

Shift the Narrative & Embrace the Pain

We are no strangers to adversity and pain. No one will go through this life without it! The question is, how will you get through? Together, we will discuss ways to shift the narrative and embrace the pain, rather than running or letting it consume us.

Name the Pain

God is allowing trials and adversity into our lives. But, until we acknowledge our adversity and pain, until we admit it’s happening to us and acknowledge what it is and why it’s happening, we won’t go anywhere. If we’re going to become a resilient person, we have to name the pain! As we’ll see today, we have to confess our pain in order to begin the journey of healing and resilience in the face of whatever comes.
