Jonah has been angry and bitter from the beginning of this story, and he finally expresses it fully in this

last chapter. Can we identify with his anger? Do we see the evil and wicked world around us as undeserving of God’s mercy? How does God handle Jonah’s anger, and what does this reveal about his character?

Jonah 3: Unexpected Repentance. Inexhaustible Mercy.

Once again, God calls Jonah to go to Nineveh. This time, he obeys, bringing them a very brief, gloomy message of judgment. The Ninevites believe and repent, and God relents the disaster coming for them. God’s mercy is boundless and mysterious. Do our actions (obedience or disobedience) impact God’s plans?
